So I'm working on a pretty big mod called Aethereon, and I want to have really good lore to go with it. I've come up with some stuff myself, which I will put later in this post, but would really appreciate it if someone could help me with it. I've got a lot of stuff going on, so I can't put my full focus into making this mod, and I think some people here will have great ideas.
Alright, here's what I've got so far: (First comes the general storyline, then specifics about bosses, NPCs, events, and items.)
(This may be a tad long.)
(If anyone comes up with something I wind up using, I'll put it with my stuff here.)
500 years ago, the Demon King Goggomoth ruled over the Underworld. He was a kind, benevolent king who never made war or was cruel to his subjects. The demons were a peaceful (well less brutal than usual at any rate) race, and they were happy. Then a young demon named Xenoroth showed up at Goggomoth's castle and challenged him to combat. The demons inside the castle never spoke of what happened next, but Xenoroth emerged victorious, the Crown of Demonkind on his head and dripping in blood.
Xenoroth quickly established a tyrannical rule over the Underworld, sending his armies far and wide to raze the surface. No matter what armies opposed him, none of their soldiers lived to tell the tale except for those who went insane and rambled on about fire, worms and darkness. First the desert nomads went to battle against him, but he wiped out all but a few who were too cowardly to arrive at the battlefield.
After Xenoroth crushed the nomads, he moved into the Hallow, where the faeries and all the good creatures of the light fought him. He simply laughed as his troops erased it utterly from the face of the earth. He next arrived at the sea, where the merfolk charged into battle against him. He went to their Water Temple himself to face their king. When he was finished, the ocean turned red with blood, and the king's trident lay broken on the beach.
Next the creatures of darkness stood up to him, for even the Corruption was not as twisted as Xenoroth. He slew many of them before the rest retreated deep underground, only to emerge when he returned to the Underworld. After that, he swept through the jungle, where the lihzards fought him as well. So little of their race was left alive that they resorted to cloning and necromancy to attempt to restore their population.
Finally, the dryads fought him. His armies razed their forests, slaughtered the innocents who were not even fighting, and burned many of them to death personally. But then, the survivors gathered together to formulate a plan to defeat him. Each race contributed a special Energy to the creation of the Riftblade, a sword imbued with the power to slay even gods. Armed with this blade, a single dryad hero fought her way to the Demon King.
When Xenoroth heard that only a single dryad was to face him, he laughed, but when she arrived he realized what he was facing. The dryad and the demon fought for three days straight, but finally, she managed to stab the Riftblade through his chest. Xenoroth fell to the ground, dead. From his corpse arose a mass of darkness, which formed into the shape of a colossal worm.
The worm introduced itself as Eldritch, the Eraser of Worlds. It laughed and laughed as it described how it and the Demon King had made a pact, and how it had devoured the souls of all those who the demon armies slaughtered. But it was not satisfied, it said, with such simple mortal souls. No, it wanted to destroy whole universes, devour beings more powerful than the Moon Lord, gorge itself on the screams of the eternally condemned.
The dryad hero attempted to fight Eldritch, but it was too powerful for her. It shattered the Riftblade across the world and began to awaken the Old Gods, its twisted allies. It revived Xenoroth, who returned to the Underworld. It cursed the Dungeon's caretaker. It called down all sorts of fiendish monsters from the heavens.
The Moon Lord and his Lunatic Cult saw the devastation Eldritch rained on the earth and descended to stop it. The Eraser of Worlds simply tore him apart and took control of his pieces. The effort of this act, however, drained it, and it descended into a deep slumber, but not before setting its two loyal children, the Eater of Space and the Eater of Time, to the task of guarding it.
Eldritch's sleep was foretold to last 500 years, and then it would awaken, an unless a second hero could stop it once and for all, all reality was doomed...
(I don't actually have much other stuff at the moment. If you want to help, ask me and I can provide a list of stuff I need help writing lore for, as well as the general idea behind that stuff, and you can take your pick.)

To me it's kinda annoying that the only summoning weapons from Moon Lord are sentries while every other class gets a weapon. Add the fact that there isn't even a lunar sentry armor makes this kinda absurd. Plus, summoner is one of if not the lowest dps class in the game so I feel adding a post moon lord summon wouldn't be unbalanced. Here are some ideas I have for a moon lord summoning weapon drop, please post your own.
True Optic Staff: Basically spawns miniature True Eyes of Cthulhu which shoot phantasmal bolts and maybe death laser beams or phatasmal spheres that deal a ton of damage. Maybe each of the True Eye of Cthulhu's attacks could be made into a different staff.
Moon Leech Staff: This staff would spawn Moon Leach Clots that hit an enemy for subpar damage and then travel back to you and heal you for some amount. These could be used in conjunction with another staff to provide respectable damage and healing at the same time.
Phantasmal Bolt Staff: Spawns an indefinitly lasting Phantasmal Bolts that peirce through enemies and can travel through blocks.

It is clear that the pumpkin moon and frost moon favorite 2 of the 4 classes. Pumpkin moon favs melee and summoner while frost moon favs ranger and mage. What weapons or items would you add to balance them?I

What Do You Think The Boss Name Will Be?
(edited by Presze)
I want a lot of things, and I bet that you also do. So we can talk about them here.
(edited by RapsterZeber)
I didn't do the animation for these two. As I can't afford to do so. (Honestly I'm just too lazy)
The Sky Scorcher: Leaves trail of blazing flames that looks slightly similar to Inferno Fork's flame (But slightly smaller) for 2 seconds. Dealing base damage (250+) per half a second. (1/2 second) The trail spawns every 1/3 seconds that means it can deal 3000 damage per second (and higher!)
The Eternity: Summons Shards (4-5?) that aims at the middle (which is the yoyo) and slices through each other dealing base damage (200) which slows your enemy (considering it's name "The Eternity" have connection with time). This ability occurs every half a second meaning it can deal like 2500 damage per second (and higher!)
Both best modifier would be Godly, but I prefer for myself Ruthless.
Note that with accessory, these yoyo can deal more damage. Both yoyo have the same design with different colours.

Okay, so I know there's ninja inside King Slime, but why? I'm up for any personal theories, but mine is this:
I think that maybe, once, the slimes didn't have a king, and were plauged by predators left and right. What if there was a ninja who felt sorry for the slimes, (because back then they wouldn't really have been hostile, since they were being hunted constantly) and used his OP weapons, ('cause there are a ton of those) to fight off the predators and destroy them, thus freeing the slimes. And then, the slimes were so impressed that they wanted to keep the ninja forever, but naturally, he didn't want to stay. So a few of the slimes converged together around the ninja, trapping him in a huge blob. That would explain why little slimes break off of King Slime as you fight him. So the ninja was trapped forever inside the slimes, and because they now had a king, the slimes started attacking people, instead of hiding.
And that brings us to where we are now.
What do you guys think?

Infectious biomes are like the hallow, the crimson, the corrupt. We probably want new biomes themed differently.
