    Request to be added

Hello. I am a long time player of Terraria Desktop, and I have much experience with it. I would love to be added as an editor so I can help update the wiki with new and changed items and features from the 1.4 update. I have already been working on updating the upcoming features with new information, and I would be glad to continue to quickly bring out accurate update information. Request to be added

Hi, I'd like to be added to the editors list. I've been helping around the wiki recently creating item pages, copyediting, and reporting vandalism. I play Desktop and have basic familiarity with the source code, so I can pull up information about item functionality, vendor sales, etc without too much trouble. On the wikicode side, I've learned how to use a good number of the standard templates+infoboxes and I'm hoping to pick up more through practice. You can check my contributions page to see where I've helped out, or contact me in the Discord under the same username. Cheers! Breathlessblizzard (talk) 22:38, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

I've added you. Thank you so much for your help :) – Ferretwings (talk) 23:06, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

    Request to be added

Hello! I'd like to be added to the editors list. I mostly play mobile, but can readily test pretty much anything on the Console version (latest version, Xbox One), and will sometimes be able to test some Desktop things. I'll hopefully be able to be editing a lot more actively, and am currently working to achieve consistency, especially with the flood of 1.4 articles. Thanks for your consideration! —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 17:57, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

    Request to be added

Hi! I'd like to be added to the editor's list. I have (what I'd like to think) an extensive knowledge of most Terraria Desktop version mechanics, as well as features and content. I've joined pretty recently in order to help with 1.4 content additions, and I helped to start adding happiness quotes for the happiness quotes project to most NPCs, as well as preparing to start the DPS project (to find the average DPS of weapons). Thank you for reading, no hard feelings if I don't make it. DanZeMan (talk) 12:49, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Hello, my name is Trialsphere, I am constant player of the game and have over 340 hours on Nintendo Switch. I know the game mechanics well, tend to recognize glitches fairly quickly when they pop up, and know most of the tips or tricks a player might need. I would love to be added as an editor so I can help add information that might have been missed on pages and help the terraria community as much as I can. I thank you for your time and consideration. Moonlord -> Moon Lord

A lot of people have been using "Moonlord" rather than "Moon Lord", and there's even a "Moonlord" image that's been uploaded. Could somebody go through the wiki and try to change everything that says "Moonlord" to say "Moon Lord"? A few pages are protected and I'm not sure how to access the crafting info for the Zenith to fix that. --172.58.172.180 15:00, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Apparently the Bosses page is using it a few times, could somebody fix that? --172.58.175.58 19:40, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
Can you please specify where exactly you are seeing the string "Moonlord" and think it should be changed to "Moon Lord"? A search revealed that "Moonlord" actually occurs very rarely on the wiki – only on talk or user pages and within citations from official sources or Terraria's source code. I have deleted the file "Moonlord.png" (it was a duplicate anyway), thanks for noting that. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 20:05, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
Specifically, the Bosses page was using it in several places, but that's been fixed and now it's all right. Thanks. --172.58.175.48 21:58, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

    Expert mode color

Previously, on the wiki and in-game, tan was used as the color to represent Expert. However, the game has switched to orange to denote Expert mode. I think the uses of tan to denote Expert on the wiki should also be changed to orange. --172.58.172.180 21:25, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Does anybody disagree with this? I'd like the Template to be changed, I think that's all that needs to be done if nobody disagrees, but I don't have the necessary permissions to do so. --172.58.172.180 22:33, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Correct format for adding 1.4.01 content?

I tried editing Keybrand its correct, 1.4.0.1 damage, but I made a bit of a mess of it and didn't know how to handle the 4 at symbols (@@@@). Should I just leave those things alone for now, or there a better way? I used {{eicons|1.4.0.1}}, but the old version of eicons still displays the desktop icon.

Edit: I've changed the old eicons to include "not = dreadnautilus" to get rid of the desktop icon.

    Mathbrush1 (talk) 04:48, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

The item stat changes of pre-1.4 items are currently in the process of being transferred to the wiki's database. Once that is complete, all item infoboxes will show the most recent, Desktop 1.4 stats. However, we strive to document the entirety of Terraria, so we also have to include the stats for the other versions, which do not have 1.4 at the moment. This can be achieved by modifying the infobox call as follows: | damage = @@@@ Template:T / 70 Template:T / 55 Template:T. As described on the template documentation, the string @@@@ will be replaced in the output by the automatic value from the database (which is, as mentioned before, currently for a couple of items not the most recent Desktop value, but will soon be).
For now, since the new values are not up yet, please just put the new value in place of the @@@@ that I wrote above: | damage = 90 Template:T / 70 Template:T / 55 Template:T. It can be changed back to the @@@@ once the database is updated.
If you find other stats that have changed in 1.4 and are now displayed incorrectly, feel free to proceed in the same manner. On pages where there is no damage parameter yet, add one with | damage = <new 1.4 value> Template:T / <old value> Template:T; or, if the entity is already exclusive to some versions (taking Meowmere as an example), | damage = <new 1.4 value> Template:T / <old value> Template:T.
Also please remember to use {{eicons}} with the logically correct parameter value. While Template:T and Template:T might produce the same output, they're not logically equivalent: The former implies that a stat change is based on when the Dreadnautilus was implemented (which would make sense for an item directly related to it, like a trophy it drops), whereas the latter implies that a stat change was set in effect in the 1.4.0.1 patch – which is correct in this case. (The same of course applies to the not parameter.)

    Copper Shortsword

The copper shortsword cannot attack to all directions in Console, Old-gen Console, Mobile and 3DS versions, but it says it can in the page

This is a case of deletion of pre-1.4 content, as the change you have described is 1.4 only and therefore only PC. Changes are on the way. Thank you! DanZeMan (talk) 21:17, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Combat Wrench drop by the Mechanic and destructible dungeon secrets

When I rescued my mechanic from the dungeon, I didn't have an oped house so she promptly perished, leaving me with her combat wrench. There is no page on the wiki for this item, so I'm guessing it's a 1.4 item. Another thing I found was crumbly walls in the dungeon that break away at the touch of a pickaxe. I have never seen these before in my time with terraria, and don't see a line in the dungeon page about them, so they must be 1.4 aswell. Both of these things happened in master mode.

I can confirm the crumbling walls are in Classic mode, as well. It seems like a huge chunk of the dungeon is buried by the walls. There's a lot of new traps, too, mostly crumbling floors over huge pit traps, some with water. Mathbrush1 (talk) 01:32, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

    Wiki revamp

Are you talking about there being an image background? There is one on this wiki, at least on desktop. I think having a solid page makes the wiki much more readable. Fireboltthecoolcat (talk) 20:44, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
I have to disagree. A solid background is 10 times better readable. I wish we had a dark mode though. The screen is too bright at night. Leonord cursetalk」 02:29, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
There is a dark mode: Select "Hydra Dark" under "Skin" in your preferences. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 02:33, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Solid backgrounds are way better than image backgrounds, as image backgrounds make reading harder. Let's not revamp this wiki's backgrounds. 193.210.231.119 15:00, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Redundant pages for gem bunnies and gem squirrels.

Having a separate page for each type of gem bunny and squirrel, such as the Diamond Bunny or Amber Squirrel seems pointless when they are all pretty much the same apart from visual differences. They should be merged into Gem Bunny and Gem Squirrel pages. Fireboltthecoolcat (talk) 00:41, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

A new Gem Critters page has been made. Shyskream6284 (talk) 00:44, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

    Difficulty Mode changes

So, I have some changes to propose based on some changes in the game. First, one of the tips refers to Expert mode as "Expert Mode", so mentions of the "Difficulty Modes" (Journey, Expert and Master) should be modified accordingly. Second, the game now uses orange to signify Expert Mode in-game, so {{Expert}} should also have its color changed. --172.58.172.62 00:50, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

    NPC Universal Formatting?

With 1.4 adding a ton of content that will require new sections on every NPC page thanks to the new Happiness mechanic, is there any format that is being considered to be the standard across the town NPC pages? Some NPC pages have notes as the very first section, most others have Items as the first section (if they have one), and things like Achievements, Trivia, and Notes are in any order under the sun.

If it's possible to propose one: Function (Help, Heal, Items Sold, Quests, etc), Secondary Function (If they sell items, their other function, like Quests for Dye Trader, Status for Dryad, Eternia Crystal for Tavernkeep, etc), Happiness preferences, Quotes, Names, Achievements, Notes, Trivia. Additionally, potentially consider merging Notes and Tips into a single Notes section, as having both seems a bit superfluous. Warpshard (talk) 02:29, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

This is a great idea, and I agree with you on this, Town NPC formatting has gone haywire at the moment with everyone adding things. I'm not great with formatting but I'll see what I can do - maybe someone better than me could organise something. Thank you! DanZeMan (talk) 12:34, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

1.4 Stardust rework and trivia section

I hate to bring up this old topic again but with the upcoming release and rework of the stardust armor set, it's been made fairly clear on the official forum that the set bonus is a reference to JJBA. The original concept and design may have been made with WoW in mind but this new rework along with the quote "All resemblance to a certain anime is purely coincidental", I think the idea this can be considered a Jojo reference is indisputable. Yoraiz0r confirmed that it wasn't a Jojo reference initially and this made sense since the initial concept bore little resemblance other than appearance. I believe Red also confirmed that this is a Jojo reference though I don't have the link to that. I think the trivia section should at least be appended to account for this rework. 209.202.205.58 05:04, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Info on Yoyos page is wrong

Hello, I was browsing through the https://terraria.gamepedia.com/Yoyos page to see what yoyos I want to try to get, but then saw on my game that the Chik has less damage than the Gradient but the page says otherwise, so i clicked on each of their pages separately and they have different info on each of their pages. Can an item have no item ID? Dry rockets and Cluster Rockets

I've been working on Rocket and the Item IDs page doesn't list these rockets anywhere, yet they can be bought. What's going on here? Mathbrush1 (talk) 00:27, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Also the Item IDs page says that 1.4.0.1 put Item IDs up to 5042 but ID 5000 and on is old stuff no longer in the game. Did someone manually set some IDs to the 5000 range thinking the game would never get there? Mathbrush1 (talk) 00:36, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
Never mind, {{ItemIdFromName|Cluster Rocket I}} gives 4445. Doesn't show up in the table, though. Mathbrush1 (talk) 00:55, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
The Item IDs page had problems because of the clash between old-gen-/3DS-exclusive items, which use IDs greater than 5000, and the new 1.4 items with IDs greater than 5000. Previously, only items that had a page and an {{item infobox}} on that page would show up on the list (hence why the Cluster Rockets wouldn't appear), but this has been changed. It should now always display all Desktop items. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 19:01, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

    1.4.0.3

So now Torch Luck has been removed. Well, it was unfun while it lasted. Now that there’s no need to gather info on mixed biome torches and the like, I think we can remove that from the noticeboard. 108.217.54.150 04:33, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that only the negative torch luck was removed, the positive luck remains. I believe the torch page has been updated accordingly. Thank you. DanZeMan (talk) 12:37, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Crate potion recipe is incorrect for PC

The recipe does not require blinkroot (which the wiki states is required). I'm on 1.4.0.3, pre-hardmode in a large, master mode world in case other people's recipes are different. I tried editing the crate potion page but I don't know how to edit the recipe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adopted Asian (talkcontribs) at 10:44, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

You are right, the Blinkroot is not required for crafting the Crate Potion. Crafting recipes are taken from Terraria's source code, and this one in particular has a typo in it, so that the Blinkroot is (unintentionally) not included in-game, yet still managed to sneak its way into the wiki's database during the conversion to wikicode. I have reported the source code typo on the forums and have fixed the recipe here. Thank you for noting! --Rye Greenwood (talk) 19:01, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

    Having trouble with eicons

I've tried updating Moonlords treasure specifically celebration since it no longer drops from him, but i can't subtract the pc icon (though it is possible to add icons).

I've read the eicons documentation and it gives an example for itemlists, trying example still does nothing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.92.89.125 at 16:22, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

What is the code that you tried and that didn't work? As already included in the Moon Lord's drop table code, not=1.4.0.1 subtracts the icons of all platforms that have 1.4 (at the moment only Desktop, but Console and Mobile at some point, too):
    | Celebration Mk2|{{eicons|1.4.0.1}}|11.1%
    | Celebration|{{eicons|Moon Lord|not=1.4.0.1}}|11.1%
--Rye Greenwood (talk) 19:01, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
    desktop=n works too. 151.229.97.217 11:55, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
Yes, that does indeed produce the same output – but only until other platforms receive 1.4. The entire exclusivity system is based on the idea that the platforms on which an entity is available change over time. Because of this fact, it used to be a huge effort to maintain correct about that exclusivity information whenever a new update came out. With these relative links to patches or entity names, however, it is nearly completely automated. For instance, while {{eicons|Moon Lord|not=1.4.0.1}} displays a Console and Mobile icon now, it will only display a Mobile icon once Console gets 1.4 – entirely on its own, no extra work needed. Contrary to that, {{eicons|Moon Lord|desktop=n}} would still display the Console icon after Console got 1.4; we would need to add an extra |console=n to make it display the correct icon again. This might seem trivial for one single Template:T call, but it multiplies literally thousandfold taking into consideration the 4000-something articles on the wiki. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 22:45, 28 June 2020 (UTC)

Moonlords drops on the treasure bag page haven't been updated (https://terraria.gamepedia.com/Treasure_Bags#Moon_Lord)

    | {{item|Celebration}} {{eicons| desktop = 0}} || 11% || 1

    | {{item|Celebration}} {{eicons| not = desktop}} || 11% || 1

These were some of the code changes (but not all) i tried but couldn't remove the desktop icon.

    1.4: Master Mode’s Enemy Stats

It seems like you can just do 1.5x expert damage and and max life for master mode stats, but I still hope that we can have them added to the database or whatever the source of auto enemy status for infoboxes is instead of having to do it on each independent page. —Creeper_NoDenial

Still Crepeer_NoDenial here. Time 26 May afternoon UTC. Seems like Master mode doesn’t have a post-Plantera stage according to Template:master. Fine and that’s good to know. Auto infobox at this time is broken- also check next section. - Creeper_NoDenial 26 May 2020 UTC 17:23

NPC infobox template broken values as for 26 May 17h UTC

At this point NPC infobox automatic information is in chaos. Green slime says damage 6 / 112 and life 14 / 324 which has an expert mode status seems to be even higher than previous post-plantera status. Pretty sure we are not having a major update on this now. An example of this is Blue Slime, I have the old values imputed manually for master mode stats and well, witnessed the auto info going chaos. Currently you can see, in the brackets of expert values are the auto infobox value, marked with a ?, and the master mode values are manual inputs. That ? on Hardmode damage 96 is because I am currently unable to confirm that as I haven’t progressed to this point yet and am not into working on the game sources.

Just hoping that you can get this problem sorted out ASAP and provide a correct value as I’m currently on Master mode gameplay and well, without Wiki things are really frustrating. Bestiary isn’t helping that much but I am 100% sure with master mode pre-Hardmode damage 21, Blue Slime’s expert mode damage data won’t be that from the beginning. —- CreeperNoDenial 26 May 2020 UTC 17:22

    We need to see DPS

DPS is extremely complicated, with a large number of statistics that must be considered. It's also hard to record DPS with the DPS Meter in-game, as that constantly changes. --172.58.155.245 21:29, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Absolutely; a big issue is also how differently many weapons are used. See Terraria Wiki talk:Projects/DPS#Inconsistencies between weapons for detailed arguments. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 22:45, 28 June 2020 (UTC)

Old 1.0.5 Unverified change nobody probably cares about

With 1.4 out there's probably more important posts to read but I thought it might be worth sharing.

I felt like trying to solve some information in Category:Verify, and there was a couple undocumented changes from 1.0.5 that I wanted to verify since I have a collection of old versions. One was about unholy arrows which I verified as correct, however the other one mentions "Flaming Arrows no longer emit light when wet." from my testing, all the versions up until even 1.0.6.1 work the exact same way. Flaming arrows shot from a bow stay ignited and lit up while in the water, and dropped flaming arrows from the inventory work like torches and stop lighting while underwater. I am missing versions 1.1 and 1.1.1, though I have tested in 1.1.2 and I found the flaming arrows were fixed and extinguish underwater properly.

Since I don't really have a good way of finding the exact version, this is where my journey ended. I know it's got nothing to do with 1.0.5, so I removed it from the page. If any historians are able to find the actual version it changed in (between 1.1 and 1.1.2), feel free to document it on the correct page and the flame arrow page as well. Article Stubs

Ever since the 1.4 update there have been a ton of article stubs without a reason why. I think it would be a good idea to add a reason why such article is a stub.Pispacedolphinmachinegun (talk) 17:45, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello, the stubbed articles are all about a freshly made page. While adding reasons to stubs is a nice idea, these are, generally, barely used. They only exist to inform that a new page was made and we need editors to help to fill it, especially with 1.4 being a massive update and helping hands are always needed. -- Murrayzero (talk) 17:49, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

    1.4 Vanity Items

I noticed that there are some new vanity items that I have found which have not been added to the page. They are from the solar eclipse event. If you need to see them for proof they are on my worlds and you can visit them. Writing articles isn't my thing, but I thought I might give you guys a heads up.

From what I looked around at, it seems that the only two that are missing are the Dr ManFly and the Butcher sets.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doctorskelington (talkcontribs) at 18:50, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Those both have pages on the wiki: Dr. Man Fly set and Butcher's set. --172.58.4.114 20:07, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
It seems the Butcher is on there now, but when Dr. Man Fly is searched on the vanity page, and when I search manually, the set doesn't show. Maybe the page is not linked properly? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doctorskelington (talkcontribs) at 23:44, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

    Forced Autoplay

Is there a way to stop the wiki from autoplaying videos? It just started doing that this week, and I can't find anything in preferences for it. I would rather not have to use an ad blocker to kill the embedded videos, but they're mildly annoying and eat bandwidth. WatcherCCG79308 (talk) 22:07, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

I agree with you on that, but I believe it is GamePedia itself, so there is no real way of stopping them other than an adblocker, as it is GamePedia itself advertising its own other wikis. DanZeMan (talk) 12:40, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
The video embed coding seems to have changed recently. After some testing I've found that we can still keep videos non-autoplay. It just requires tweaking the code on the page where the video is found. If you point out a specific page where you see autoplay occurring, I/we can fix it up; and we'll appreciate it, cause we don't want any videos autoplaying here (at least not actual embedded videos with sound -- but gif animations do autoplay by design). Edits being reverted

I have been turning some of the [example] icons into {item|example} icons. However, I keep getting notifactions that they are being reverted back into [example]. How come? Wing Project

I noticed that on projects there was one for wings. It wanted each wing to have an article. Am I understanding that correctly?Pispacedolphinmachinegun (talk) 20:12, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

Indeed you are, wings have been changed drastically in 1.4 (see the changelogs). Also, having wings in separate articles makes it easier to add wing-specific information and tips/trivia related to each wing, as well as making navigation easier. DanZeMan (talk) 12:09, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
I've added pages for all wings except for developer items. I believe that we need a standard sort of template for including flight statistics for each wing. Mathbrush1 (talk) 19:50, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

The music box page is messy and confusing.

For example the boss 4 music box is listed twice which is because there are different ways to obtain it, but the version icons are in confusing places. The boss 4 music box has the pc, console, old-gen console, and mobile icons next to it, and then next to that are the pc, console, and mobile icons in parenthesis. The icons in parenthesis are referring to the ways to get it in that version, even though its explained in a different section of the table. The icons in parenthesis should actually be next to the ways to get it, like how it is for the boss 1 box. There are several music boxes listed properly like the boss 1 box, and several that aren't correct such as the boss 4, boss 5, ice, and snow boxes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lumelore (talkcontribs) at 01:10, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

Problem with Dark Mode and new NPC Infobox template

Hey! There appears to be an issue with dark mode and the new npc infobox template. The text that reads "Classic" on the infobox is incredibly difficult to read because dark mode causes it to have white text on a white background. NewtheElf (talk) 05:18, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for noting, I have adjusted those tab colors. The backgrounds of the section titles ("Statistics", "Drops", etc.) may need to be tweaked as well, while still adhering to the color schemes of Expert and Master, though. Should you have any color suggestions for those, please feel free to share them. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 05:55, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
Just messed around in Paint for a bit, and found some Hex values that I think look pretty decent in darkmode. You could potentially try 9B7049 and F7C699 for Expert mode background and text respectively, and 996669 and EFBFC2 for Master mode background and text, or colors similar to those. NewtheElf (talk) 06:36, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Have a look at trivia rules for clues on which types of trivia will stick. In a nutshell, "possible references" are usually removed. You can post a reference if you have proof that the developers intended it and can link to a post or chat quote where they said so, or if the reference is so blatantly obvious that it's "undeniable", like the Creeper set's origins. Friendly NPC defense

I was looking at the code of the game and saw that the NPC had some defense that scale with the bosses killed and had a dryad buff depending on the mod (6/10/14) that is scaled differently from the player (always 8 according to this wiki), but I can't find it anywhere in this wiki, did I miss the page, is it too complex and to do barely nothing ? --Lightg4 (talk) 16:01, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

NPC stat scaling based on bosses defeated was in the release notes for 1.4. Looks like it may have slipped through the cracks; it should definitely be added to the NPC page. Feel free to add it! Especially if you have specifics regarding the numbers. Equazcion (talk) 16:20, 8 Jun 2020 (UTC)

    tModLoader item pages

I think we should create pages for tModLoader-exclusive items. Not Example Mod items, but items that tModLoader adds by default (the Unloaded Item, tML Dev Sets, April Fools Joke, Starter Bag). I'm not sure if they would go in a subpage to the tModLoader page or something (e.g. tModLoader:April Fools Joke / tModLoader/Starter Bag), but I think they should be on the wiki somewhere. --172.58.4.233 18:17, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

These items aren't in the base game, and therefore can't be covered by this wiki, as this wiki is all about vanilla. They also don't exist in the source code of the game, so they can't be in the cargo tables and they won't work with a lot of templates/lists on the wiki. Personally, I would pefer if these get their pages on the Terraria Mods Wiki. — Philo04 20:54, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

    NPC Happiness discount calculator

Hi, first, sorry for my english. I made a fast version of a NPC Happiness discount calculator in a html file with js that shows discount values of a npc alone or with another NPC in 25 tiles and no more than 3 NPCS on 120 tiles in each biome calculating preferences, actualy on shows values if his discount value is <= to 0.85, and can filter by selecting biome and/or NPC. Hey, this is awesome. Can I clarify what each of the headings mean?
    • Rocket II/IV explode, I assume means "destroy blocks"
    • Liquid Rocket works?, is pretty obvious
    • Rocket III/IV bigger?, I do not quite understand. Are you measuring their explosion size?
    • Nuke I/II bigger, same thing as above^
    • Cluster I/II damages twice, I assume means the "shrapnel" explosions deal damage
Am I getting that right? -- Breathlessblizzard (talk) 12:50, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
All your assumptions are good, for the bigger I was measuring the explosion size compared to the previous tiers, yes (and I noted that shrapnel was as big as Rocket III/IV in Celebration II, but as big as a Rocket I/II for the others
Nearly same thing with liquid rocket : for Celebration II it's like a Rocket III/IV but for the others it's smaller than a Rocket I/II) --Lightg4 (talk) 13:03, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

    Homepage biome section

I've seem that we updated icons in the biome and event section of the homepage, but I want to request the addition of the Underground Corruption, Crimson, and Hallow. Mining speed

Info about "all items together add 140%" at "Speed-increasing buffs and items" section of "Mining Speed" page is probably wrong since Celestial Shell, Celestial Stone, Sun Stone and Moon Stone doesn't stack anymore. Issue with "Desktop Version history" auto-links in templates

In the latest revision of Sandcastle Bucket by Morenohijazo, the links in both the "Desktop Only Content" banner and the "History" section lead to Desktop Version history/no instead of Desktop Version history. When opening the page in the editor, they appear to become English links even with no changes. While I think publishing the page with a small change would fix it, I'm leaving the page as is so that someone with knowledge of those templates can experiment with the issue and try to fix the source of the problem. --Shyskream6284 (talk) 16:31, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

The issue turned out to be much more widespread. Discussed the issue on the Wiki Discord and a fix has been made. Cross Platform history sections on pages need rewrite and attention

I have noticed that the history sections on pages are all over the place and needs more attention and rewriting. For example, the Switch version is not on the Old One's Army article and the crystal block article incorrectly stated it was introduced on mobile (wich I recently fixed). Yeah, for the switch, this mostly concerns 1.3.1 to 1.3.5 content. --Superwill771 (talk) 19:22, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

    "Old-gen mobile"

Looking at Mobile version, the Windows Phone version is still at an older version, similar to the state of 3DS. Would it be possible that the Windows Phone version could be mentioned, either directly as "Windows Phone" or possibly as "Old-gen mobile" on exclusive pages? If you disagree, please tell me why, because I'm sure there's a good reason why this is a bad idea. — Godslayerchickennugget (talk | contribs) 12:18, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

I've already asked about this on the Wiki Discord Server, they said that it a) was unstable and b) wasn't different from old-gen console, despite the fact that it is a bit different, because it has these unobtainable items that we now call "Historical content". I'm actually for adding this, but there doesn't seem to be an appetite to do anything about it right now. Hi, the Japanese localization seems to be missing from some localization databases. In order to fix that, you will have to translate Template:Use_time/l10n and Template:Coin/l10n, add type and environment names to template:tr/db-ja, and there are some missing lines on Template:Item_infobox/l10n as well. --Dinoxel talk 03:28, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

    Unobtainable Items draft

I’m attempting to make an improved version of the Unobtainable items page and have made a draft here. It looks and works fairly well, but one issue is that it uses collapsible content (using Template:Collapse top) which is opened (uncollapsed) by default on mobile view. The arguably large amount of content also makes me wonder if Template:Ajax should be employed, although this wouldn’t work with either Collapse Top or Tabber which the draft also makes use of. I’d like to hear if anyone has any opinions or suggestions to this. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 21:51, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

    Disambiguation style guide

I noticed many of the 159 disambiguation pages were lacking consistency. So to help out, I started a basic disambiguation style guide on my user page taken from the Wikipedia style guide and adapted for this wiki. Aside from the lack of consistency on the format, this was mostly prompted by disambiguation pages getting out of hand such as on Red or any other page with a term re-used in the page name. Disambiguation pages such as those don't help at all, and actually do the opposite of their intended purpose.

The style guide draft can be found on User:Dig494/Disambiguation and I moved some of this message over to the talk page because of its length.

Let me know of any concerns or improvements to change and when/if you believe the guide is ready to be applied to pages that don't meet the standard. — Dig494 09:33, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

I think your guide is well written to the point where I doubt the topic could be covered any better. I also think the points on User talk:Dig494/Disambiguation are good, though I expect it would take some time to apply all of them where they are needed. For now I see no reason to not turn User:Dig494/Disambiguation into Help:Disambiguation and make it part of Template:Help/content. Lack of consistency is one of the main issues all wikis struggle with, and setting a standard for disambig pages is great help. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 15:25, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

    Recording.

Is it possible to record my screen, then put it on the Wiki? I would like to record me fighting a certain boss, then put it on the Wiki. -Kurosan529 (talk) 13:00, 15 July 2020 (UTC) P.S. It will be in the page for the Japanese page for boss strategies.

Videoes are in general avoided on this wiki because they rarely provide better info than gifs, images, or just plain text. They are also avoided because they often serve to promote content creators rather than the wiki, which is off-topic. In the event where you have a video which illustrates something well I’ll recommend the Help:Creating animated GIFs guide, if the video can be made into a gif. This guide also lists some recording tools for this. If it must be a video, you can provide it as link or as a file. Here are some examples. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 15:25, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

Unobtainable item on the old version on mobile: Red's wings

The old Red's wings on mobile, which only could be added to game with modded menu, had infinite secods of flying.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Smyly9 (talkcontribs) at 11:06, 16 July 2020‎‎ (UTC)
