The 3DS version of Terraria was published by 505 Games and developed by Codeglue. It is a port of CodeGlue’s Mobile version Mobile version. This version contains exclusive content not available on other versions, including enemies, armor, weapons, pets, and bosses, but some exclusive content is also available on the Old-gen console version Old-gen console version.

The 3DS version is unlike the other console versions, not only because of its exclusive entities, but also because it follows its own update line. A list of all the updates it has had, as well as a few highlights of each one, can be found at 3DS version history.

It can be played on the New Nintendo 3DS family of systems at a higher frame rate and it adds an expanded world option.

The 3DS version's most recent update is equal to Desktop version Desktop 1.2.1 with some content from 1.2.2 to 1.3.1.

This version will not receive any significant updates past its current Desktop version Desktop 1.2.1 equivalent (with small 1.3 exceptions).[1]

It is possible to hack some platform-exclusive items into the 3DS version of Terraria by using TerraInveditThreeDee on a jailbroken 3DS console.

3DS-exclusive content[edit | edit source]

Some of the following content is also available on the Old-gen console version Old-gen console version. Most of it used to be available in the Mobile version Mobile version as well, but was removed from there entirely with the 1.3 update.

Post-Desktop-1.2.1 content[edit | edit source]

The 3DS3DS version version of Terraria is largely equivalent to Desktop version Desktop version 1.2.1. However, some content from future versions has been added into the game, mostly from 1.2.2 to Below is a list of said content.
