The Aqua Scepter is a magic weapon that can be obtained from Locked Gold Chests within the Dungeon, or from Golden Lock Boxes found in Dungeon Crates from fishing. It auto-fires an arc of water particles which can pierce an infinite number of enemies.
The Aqua Scepter can be continuously used to keep enemies juggled. However, the sprite of the Aqua Scepter itself deals no damage. Therefore, an enemy too close to the wielder will not get hit by the water, and simply move past the outstretched wand to hit the player.
Its best modifier is Mythical.
Notes[]
- The horizontal projectile range is about 64 tiles from the sprite, if angled correctly.
- Despite being a water-themed weapon, the range is reduced when the player is in water.
- The Aqua Scepter is also unable to extinguish enemies who are lit On Fire!.
- The Aqua Scepter's attack consists of two separate streams of water superimposed on top of each other, similar to the Golden Shower which has 3.
- In Remix and Everything worlds, its damage is increased to 96. It swaps places with the Bubble Gun, and instead drops from Duke Fishron.
Tips[]
- Its particles emit light, so the Aqua Scepter can be useful in scouting out caverns.
Trivia[]
- The Golden Shower can be considered a Hardmode upgrade of the Aqua Scepter.
- It makes the same sound effect as the Rocket Boots.
- Due to the blue color of the staff portion of the scepter, it can be assumed it is made from cobalt, like most other Dungeon items, i.e. Muramasa, Magic Missile, and of course, the Cobalt Shield.
