The Bast Statue is a furniture item that grants The Bast Defense buff to players in its vicinity, increasing their defense by 5 points. The buff effect can be toggled via wire. The statue can be found in Sandstone Chests in the lower portion of the Underground Desert, or in Oasis Crates and Mirage Crates.

The buff is applied to any players standing within a rectangular area of 170×125[1] (Desktop version) / 100×84 (Mobile version) tiles centered on the Bast Statue, similar to Heart Lanterns and Campfires.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Multiple statues will not stack their effects. Two Bast Statues in a player's vicinity will still only grant +5 defense.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Bastet or Bast was the Egyptian goddess of protection, cats, perfume/ointments, fertility, pregnancy, children, music, the arts, and warfare.
  • The buff name "The Bast Defense" is probably a reference to the phrase "The best defense is a good offense" or "The Last Defense".
