The Bast Statue is a furniture item that grants The Bast Defense buff to players in its vicinity, increasing their defense by 5 points. The buff effect can be toggled via wire. The statue can be found in Sandstone Chests in the lower portion of the Underground Desert, or be found as a furniture in Underground Cabins, or in Oasis Crate and Mirage Crates.

The buff is applied to any players standing within a rectangular area of 169×125[1] (Desktop only) / 100×84 () tiles centered on the Bast Statue, similar to Heart Lanterns and Campfires.

Notes[]

  • The Bast Defense does not stack, having 2 Bast Statues will only grant +5 Defense.

Trivia[]

  • Bastet, or Bast, was the Egyptian goddess of protection, cats, perfume/ointments, fertility, pregnancy, children, music, the arts, and warfare.
  • The buff name "The Bast Defense" is a pun on the phrase "The Best Defense."

History[]

  • Desktop 1.4.4: Can now generate as furniture in Underground Desert Cabins (in addition to being found in chests).
