The Possessed Hatchet is a throwable melee weapon that returns to its owner after a certain distance, similiar to the Boomerang. When thrown, the hatchet moves extremely fast and homes in on nearby enemies. It has a 12.5% chance to drop from the Golem in the Lihzahrd Temple. As with all modifiable boomerangs, the best Modifier for the Possessed Hatchet is Godly.

Notes

• The Possessed Hatchet is capable of dealing over 150 points of damage, and over 300 upon scoring critical hits.
  • Very short usage delay makes it one of the most powerful melee weapons in the game.
• The Hatchet can't autoswing, except in the Mobile version.
• When thrown, the Possessed Hatchet emits light.
• When thrown under a certain angle and at the perfect moment, the hatchet can hit an enemy 75 blocks away (almost an entire screen from one side to another).
• With 90 base damage, the Possessed Hatchet deals the most damage in the game, along with the Paladin's Hammer. the hammer, however, has more knockback.
