French replacements

continued from archive

Hey, have "Minerai d'or" by "Minerai d'Or", "Bloc de sable" by "Bloc de Sable" and "Bloc de pierre/Stone Block" by "Bloc de Pierre" -- Dinoxel discussion 01:17, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Done Equazcion (talk) 02:41, 29 Dec 2014 (UTC)

Thank you, have "Silt Block/Bloc de limon" by "Bloc de Limon", "Slush Block/Bloc de gadoue" by "Bloc de Gadoue", "Mud Block/Bloc de boue" by "Bloc de Boue", "Spike" by "Pique" and "Wooden Spike" by "Pique en Bois". The new face of the Wiki is really awesome! Did you finish to modify it, to know when I can copy/paste it? (To avoid modifying a thing to an other thing, ...) -- Dinoxel discussion 10:14, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Done. I think I'm done with the major changes to the main page, at least for a while. And thanks, glad you like it :) Equazcion (talk) 12:09, 30 Dec 2014 (UTC)

Hi Equazcion, could you please replace some words on the french wiki ? -- Dinoxel discussion 14:28, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Done now. Equazcion (talk) 19:12, 25 Mar 2015 (UTC)

Thank you, I'm going to add more of them later. Check this page when you'll have some time. -- Dinoxel discussion 15:17, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Hey I'm back again with a few replacements. I wrote them here to stop to spam your page. Thank you in advance. -- Dinoxel discussion 18:35, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Done - Equazcion (talk) 21:52, 11 Jun 2015 (UTC)

Deleting Anomaly and Bug pages?

In the recent changes, I see that you effectively removed every bug and anomaly template. Any specific reason? --JosephChor (talk) 20:21, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

See this discussion for an explanation. Equazcion (talk) 20:23, 7 Dec 2014 (UTC)
Since I'm about to go through the pages the bot just edited, I was thinking that I would add any lost information that may be interesting back to the article. For example, in Iron Pickaxe, this was an anomaly: "Unlike the other base metal pickaxes (Copper, Silver, and Gold), the Iron Pickaxe requires only 3 Wood to craft." Should I add something like that to the trivia section since it isn't a bug? Chrisf1020 (talk) 21:37, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Trivia sounds like a good idea for that one. There may be some anomalies that affect gameplay more substantially than that (for which the Notes section might be better in some cases). Use your judgment, I would say :) Equazcion (talk) 22:20, 7 Dec 2014 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. Chrisf1020 (talk) 22:27, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Signatures

Are we allowed to change the color of our username in our signature to something like this or this? It's oh so tempting, I figured I would ask first though. Chrisf1020 (talk) 04:12, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Yup, you're allowed to style your signature any way you like, within reason -- as long as it's reasonably-sized, not too painful for others to look at, doesn't produce too much code on the page (255 character limit), and doesn't use a transcluded template. Equazcion (talk) 09:39, 9 Dec 2014 (UTC)
Very interesting, thank you. Chrisf1020 (talk) 19:16, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Files

Alright, I can't help but notice that whenever someone needs a file, you find it within minutes. Out of curiosity, where do you get all of these? For example, all of those updated console sprites or the Santa Zombie you just uploaded. Chrisf1020 (talk) 01:39, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

I got the console sprites from the mobile game files. You can download the mobile (android) version's APK file (free) from several websites and decompress it as a ZIP file. You won't have the source code but you can get at the images.
The PC sprites are a little trickier -- they're in the Terraria content/images folder as XNB files. You can get images out of the XNB files using this, however they're only labeled according to ID, so unless you know the ID you're looking for, there's some time and guesswork involved.
Hope that helps :) Equazcion (talk) 01:55, 16 Dec 2014 (UTC)

Thanks so much! It took a little while to get to this point, but the 6,392 xnb files are being converted as I type! Of course, I had to, you know, make a Steam account, buy Terraria, install it, find another .xnb to .png converter, as the one on the forums no longer works, and then watch a video tutorial on how to do it. ;) Chrisf1020 (talk) 03:15, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Hehe ok no problem. Sounds like you got a complicated one but as long as it worked out :) Equazcion (talk) 03:46, 16 Dec 2014 (UTC)

"Developer Blogs" link

The link to the developer blogs on the front page still links to TerrariaOnline even though it would make more sense to change the link to the Developer Blogs on the Terraria Community Forums because the developers don't use TO anymore. --109.91.37.175 17:52, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Fixed now. Thanks for pointing that out :) Equazcion (talk) 17:56, 17 Dec 2014 (UTC)

Hey their

Hey their my name is Fuddlercrafter AKA Fuddler I'm new here and I was wondering if you could help me with something I noticed you talk to someone named Gearzein recently and just a while ago he/she delete my message in the pirate captain this is what my post said “their may be a glitch in terraria iOS where the Pirate captians death animation drops multiple pirate captian heads" can you see what is wrong with this please message this back? Sincerely: Fuddlercrafter P.S I have a picture of it happening Template:Unsigned2

It looks like you got an answer to this already, but just to confirm: The wiki doesn't list bugs/glitches anymore, which is why your edit was reverted. You can report iOS bugs via the forum: Mobile Bug Reports. Equazcion (talk) 06:49, 19 Dec 2014 (UTC)

Should I go ahead?

On this page, we were discussing possible solutions to the distinction between grappling hook, hooks, and "hook". Should I just go ahead and try my solution?

oops, didn't sign that. date is going to be off...--Macks2008 (talk) 05:07, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Console & Mobile Version history articles

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I'm impressed with the changes lately that you've done to the Mobile Version history article. Nicely done! The patch history for each version would probably be best to be put in spoilers to decrease the "scroll-rate" (how big the article is which could get harder to find the version the person may want to see and the mouse wheel will be used too much) of the article. Oh and just to mention, the Console Version history will also need to be done the same way, or it would look great like that. Terraria from what I know is available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 & 4 (console wise). And again, nice work! User:Zdroid9770/Sig1 08:29, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Thanks! Nice to get feedback, especially when it's favorable :) The mobile history was more pressing due to all the separate update paths but I'll get on the console history too, if only to collapse those long lists. Equazcion (talk) 08:40, 26 Dec 2014 (UTC)

Little problems

I found this page and this page. They are both about Signatures. -- Dinoxel discussion 16:35, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

And the link of the logo of Windows 8 on the main page doesn't work. -- Dinoxel discussion 16:37, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing those out. Should be all fixed now :) Equazcion (talk) 01:25, 31 Dec 2014 (UTC)
Hey, I don't understand why the English link in this French page redirect to Item Infobox. Do you know where it comes from ? -- Dinoxel discussion 14:11, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
fr:Template:Item infobox had its language link outside the <noinclude>. I just fixed it. Equazcion (talk) 15:02, 3 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Thank you, but why only "Coins" redirect to "Item infobox" and not to an other page ? -- Dinoxel discussion 16:21, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
I don't know, I only checked that one page before I fixed it. Are you sure other pages didn't also do that? We could experiment and figure it out, but as long as everything is working now, it's sort of academic :) Equazcion (talk) 16:38, 3 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Nah it's okay. I found a new thing, I can't take the pictures from Android, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. They are the only one who finished by .svg. -- Dinoxel discussion 17:46, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
Seems to work for me. I just uploaded fr:Fichier:Android logo large.svg. What happens when you try? Equazcion (talk) 17:59, 3 Jan 2015 (UTC)

Bot for the French wiki

Hey! I'm helping Dinoxel with the French wiki. Do you think it could be possible to give us a copy of the bot if you don't mind. I am also making studies in IT and I have a lot of background in programming in general.--PatateauChou (talk) 16:19, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

It's true. He just wants some help to know how the bot can work. -- Dinoxel discussion 16:21, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
I've downloaded it and I'll try to make it work on my own but if you could provide a TL;DR on how to make it work, it would be great. --PatateauChou (talk) 16:25, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
I use a pre-compiled program: AutoWikiBrowser. It's somewhat easy to figure out and you won't need to do any programming, but most operations will require regex.
  • Use file->login/profiles to add your login info, and go to options->preferences->site to set http://terraria-fr.gamepedia.com/ .
  • Under "Make list" on the left, choose "Category (recursive)" and enter "Terraria" in the line, then click "Make list". Wait til the list appears, then right-click it and choose remove->non-mainspace and then again remove->duplicates. Then file->save settings. Now you have a list of all pages on french wiki.
  • Check "Find and replace", and use normal for ordinary text replacements, or advanced for regex.
  • When you have those set up, choose the "start" tab and enter an edit summary. Click start, check the edit, click save.
  • Once you tested and think you're ready to have it proceed automatically, click the "bot" tab and click "auto-save", then click "start" again.
That's my crash course. Hope that helps :) Equazcion (talk) 16:36, 3 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Thanks a lot. Everything seems to be working after Dinoxel gave me the right password to the bot account. I just need to understand the rest now :)--PatateauChou (talk) 17:46, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
No problem :) Play with it a bit, you'll get the hang of it. Equazcion (talk) 17:55, 3 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Well, do you know how the bot can modify words in Templates ? -- Dinoxel discussion 17:50, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
If you want to include templates (and all other pages), just skip the part where I said to "remove->non-mainspace". Equazcion (talk) 17:55, 3 Jan 2015 (UTC)
What would be the procedure to rename a page? I guess you would have to first move the content to the new page then make the bot change all the [[]] tags to the name of the new page and finally make the old page redirect to the new page. Is that it? --PatateauChou (talk) 02:00, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure if it's possible to rename pages automatically with AWB. It operates on one page at a time, and doesn't have a method of auto-moving pages, or copying content between two pages. Something like that might need to be done manually, or with a custom-written bot, to my knowledge. Equazcion (talk) 02:11, 4 Jan 2015 (UTC)

Fiery Greatsword

What is the source of your information that an unmodified fiery greatsword is 36 damage? According to my game, as well as a screenshot I can provide of my game, and of my Terraria.exe file attributes, it's 42 in Terraria 1.2.4.1.--Macks2008 (talk) 05:21, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

basically, I challenge your version of my edit--Macks2008 (talk) 05:22, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

My source is the game code, which I just double-checked. The Fiery Greatsword's damage is listed at 36. You might have a modifier or armor bonus in effect -- try un-equipping all items and deactivating all buffs; that might drop the damage back down to normal. Equazcion (talk) 05:26, 9 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Oh! How about that, you're right. I was not counting on the Molten armor set's melee damage bonus. I switched my Molten Greaves into a social slot and the damage went back down. Curiously, I remembered taking a screenshot of a hacked character that I made for testing this who also had a 42 damage Fiery Greatsword, but after checking my screenshot, I notice he also had the Molten set. Seeing as the armor set and the sword are at the same tier of equipment (Hellstone Bar), should there maybe be a note on the page about the set bonus?--Macks2008 (talk) 04:49, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
I don't think it's necessary to state the end result of stat bonuses on item pages. It doesn't really add much useful information, and although you might associate this particular bonus with this item due to the crafting material, it's a slippery slope to everyone posting stat bonuses they associate with items for whatever reason. Equazcion (talk) 05:48, 10 Jan 2015 (UTC)
I suppose, but I'm inclined to inquire for better logical explanation, in order to safeguard against the "slippry slope fallacy". While I understand the concern people could start adding things willy-nilly (this so called slippery slope), I'm more concerned people might repeat my edit for the same reason I made it (they might equip the entire hellstone set and think the Fiery Greatsword damage went up), which would be around as bad as adding things due to a distant relationship. Maybe a routine check of that damage value is in order (possibly by a bot) at least? Also, where could I go to see the source code? I always like seeing the nuts and bolts of a good program, and I've been considering making a mod or two.
People edit stats and other things for all sorts of reasons often, and the changes are often inaccurate. As long as we have active editors watching Recent Changes, it's generally caught quickly. Instead of a bot, we could just keep stats on protected subpages, but this isn't enough of a problem currently to make that kind of move. It's best to keep as much as possible freely editable. You can download the source code here (you may need to register at that site first). Equazcion (talk) 18:07, 11 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Ah, I should have known it'd be on mpgh.net. thanks!--Macks2008 (talk) 01:30, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

Remember

So remember that time in August of last year when I tried to create that article of the list of console items, you just deleted it... Beforehand you were on my side and saw the use for an article like that. 0icke0 and FyreNWater kept fighting me on the article to attempt to delete the article and in the end YOU DID. And then whenever i attempt to edit a stub article, my changes get deleted such as in the Tungsten Hammer article. What i'm saying is that I do not know how to write or edit a proper article or use complex expressions properly (0icke0 said to use a "regex" expression once and I had no clue what that was). Please help me and can you give me some articles that i could possibly try to work on. I don't want to be banned because i don't know what i'm doing...

Here's the link to how I found out an edit war was supposedly going on between us: Terraria Wiki:Admin noticeboard/Issues August 2014 I'm also curious why whenever i look at the history of pages that i previously edited my name appears red... ~User: DXOS3 15:44, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Someone else came and nominated the article for deletion again, and I myself had a change of heart. The page also wasn't anywhere near completion and you hadn't seemed to be active in a while. I've been thinking of better ways to achieve what you were doing through categories and may yet implement something.
Your additions to the Tungsten Hammer article consisted of a lot of general information that was best left to other articles (such as general Hammer and Ore information), or text that duplicated information already contained in the article's infobox (the upper-right box containing the item statistics). In the future, it's best to look over some similar articles for clues on what is and isn't appropriate to include, as well as style and format cues. Keep in mind, though, there isn't always something useful to add, and simply adding "filler material" purely for the sake of making the article longer will probably be reverted. Equazcion (talk) 18:51, 10 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Offhand I don't know of articles that need work, but I'll keep an eye out. You won't get banned for sincerely trying to improve an article, as long as you communicate, and aren't adamant in reinstating your edits if several other experienced editors correct or revert them. Equazcion (talk) 19:06, 10 Jan 2015 (UTC)
Your name appears red because it's a redlink, i.e. you didn't create a User page, which is not a problem, in case that was your concern.-- Just passing through, Macks2008 (talk) 13:05, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
IM BACK! Enough said, I was a stupid editor back then. But that's in the past. I am now putting this page forward as a suggestion that I think all wiki editors and players alike should highly consider for the console edition of Terraria. With the advent of 1.3 coming out the end of June and the fact that the developers of the console edition will not be able to match the PC version for a much longer time away, I highly reccommend a page like this would be very beneficial to the players of Terraria alike. I thought this was a good idea a LONG TIME AGO(I suggested this on the advent of 1.2 coming out) and still think it good. I don't want to fight and I would rather like the help of supporters to make the page a reality. In conclusion, please consider my appeal for this page as it would help any console player to find an article from the list that could supposedly help them to progress or build or craft something inside the game... I think you admins don't really care on a persistence of just one user but if other people helped it would become a reality bigtime! I'm fully outta here if I can't get anything together as the wiki needs no work as you said in January(you said you would keep an eye out! Well, I checked this page every week for 5 weeks and I go NO ANSWER!) As for me "sincerely trying to improve articles" is something very interesting out there. It's confusing because articles that could be considered stubs by some people can be too long for others. The clues you get looking over other articles can widely vary in length and what they describe. At the time I saw lots of articles that restated the infobox in a description and others that did not so again I got confused. I still to this day have not figured out what regex expressions are! Wow, why did i even get into wiki editing??? Apparently, being active also has to be a consideration for the activity of editing on a disliked-by-the-admins page... -DXOS3

Fish Bowl

Is 1 Goldfish PC Version, Because On Console It Took Me 2 Goldfish? Template:Unsigned2

It's 1 goldfish in the PC version. I checked the source code and it appears you're right, the recipe changed in version 1.2.3, which isn't available on console yet. I've corrected the page. Equazcion (talk) 23:19, 13 Jan 2015 (UTC)

Category for dangersense, spelunker, etc.

I feel like buffs of this type should be grouped together. Perhaps call the category "highlight potions"? What do you think? --Macks2008 (talk) 12:57, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

I think those are the only two potions that do things like that. I doubt it'd be very useful. Equazcion (talk) 13:34, 19 Jan 2015 (UTC)
There's also hunter. see, if we had a category you'd have been able to check :P
That said, I suppose you have a point... we don't need another useless category to add to the 500+ categories we already have--Macks2008 (talk) 14:04, 19 January 2015 (UTC)?

While you were out

Hey, just making you aware of some stuff that went down during your hiatus. You probably actually know about a lot of this but if you have any feedback or insight it'd be welcome.

  • In addition to myself, both Chrisf1020 and FyreNWater have been promoted to sysop status.
  • Following the announcement of Terraria: Otherworld, an informal poll determined that we'll likely be hosting that game's content here as well, as that seemed to be the preference of many editors as well as Curse staff.
  • Curse is putting more pressure on to integrate more video content (see these discussions). Considering that our current guides are in a bit of a sorry state, I've recommended they do a test post, and if all goes well we can use it as a framework to redo most of the content in the guide project. I've no idea what we'll do if it doesn't go well, as I don't think we have much say in the matter.
  • On a couple of pages (see Terra Blade) we've started moving most of the stats and recipe stuff to protected subpages. While it has apparently decreased vandalism on highly targeted pages without locking out editing entirely, we haven't moved forward with it much yet because of the potential technical concerns of having so much content transcluded from other pages.
  • The people behind Terraria: The Animated Series may want to discuss having their content posted on the wiki as well.

There's probably some other issues I'm forgetting but that's all that's pressing enough to come to mind at the moment.

Welcome back, by the way. It's good to have someone around who knows what they're doing again. Gearzein (talk) 21:44, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

  • I'm happy we have more admins now, and you three have certainly shown that you'd be assets there.
  • I'm on board with Otherworld info coming to the wiki. We may need to set up a new namespace for that, but any release is probably still too far off to start worrying yet.
  • As for videos, I'd been rethinking my stance on those recently anyway. We could use the participation they might bring, and I like the idea of making them guide-y in order to aide or replace the wiki's guides. I'd personally given up on the guide areas here, as they are in such terrible shape and I think the concept of crowdsourced game strategy guides might have been flawed from the get-go. Having some sort of central authority drive them might be the better course. I look forward to seeing what User:CrsDash comes up with.
  • Transcluding locked subpages for infoboxes and recipes might be a good idea, but we can roll it out as-needed for pages that see frequent vandalism of that type. If we were to make any sweeping conversion to those (I'm on the fence as to whether we should, currently), it would probably be wise to wait until after 1.3 is released, so the community can contribute to documenting the massive number of changes that 1.3 is likely to bring.
  • I know zilch about the animated series. If that becomes a serious request I'll have to get educated.
And, thanks for the welcome :) Equazcion (talk) 03:21, 26 Mar 2015 (UTC)

Beginners guide

Hey, what was your rationale for preserving Guide:Beginners? It's not a great page. I can't see much in it that's worth keeping, but I'm a bit reluctant to just go ahead and delete it, because I figured you have a plan for it or something. Gearzein (talk) 21:06, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

I didn't have a particular plan; I just wanted to move it to the right place and link it (it had been created in mainspace). I was reluctant to pull the trigger quickly on something somebody seemed to have put effort into, but at this point you can feel free to use your discretion in dealing with it. I'm usually not in any particular hurry to police the Guide: area since it's all such a fundamental mess. Equazcion (talk) 21:20, 13 Apr 2015 (UTC)

Boss Spawners

You guys should make a page dedicated to all the boss spawners just saying :):">" Template:Unsigned2

There's already a category for that purpose. There's not much to be said about them that isn't covered in individual pages either. Gearzein (talk) 22:22, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

French things

Hey, thank you to help me for the interwiki war ! But don't put french link on the English wiki, we're waiting the true translation of every words. French is a very complex language. -- Dinoxel discussion 16:02, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

I was just noticing how many common pages existed on our wikis with missing links. But I'll leave the interwiki links to you if you want. You're much more bilingual than me anyway :) Equazcion (talk) 16:05, 13 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Yes that's true, I want to connect them too. What do you mean by "leave the interwiki links", place them on the French or English wiki ? You'll make me blush. :X But you you're definitely better programmer than me. :D
I noticed that I can't paste huge page again (like enemy). Does it exists an other way to paste than create some parts like we did a long time ago?
When the 1.3 will release, could you give me the file with true French names ? And will you help me to replace every wrong names on every pages ? :D -- Dinoxel discussion 16:15, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
I was copying the page titles I found on the French wiki, to make sure I used the right words. I wasn't trying to translate them myself. But if they still might be wrong for some reason I understand. I meant I'll stop posting interwiki links for now and let you handle it instead.
I don't think there is any way other than pasting. If you want I can give it a try, or you can email wiki@curse.com to request help.
Yes, when 1.3 is released and the source code is available I can send you the language file. I'll do the replacements too, just make a big list of them and let me know. Equazcion (talk) 16:22, 13 Jun 2015 (UTC)
You can continue to add English links in French pages but not the reverse for now.
I'll send a mail now. After thinking, it's probably a problem with the French Gamepedia server located to Paris. EDIT : Game widow is talking a look.
Thank you. I have done the Item IDs, you could use it (I can make a second Item IDs with true French translation too). And I'll put your bot as an Administrator so it will be able to replace everything everywhere. -- Dinoxel discussion 16:46, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
Hey Equazcion, I know you're really busy right now but when you'll have time, could you send me the French File with every translated names of everything. (Does I'll be able to see what's write ?) -- Dinoxel discussion 14:34, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

Challenges

Could I make a page that people can post challenges for other people or is there already one somewhereTemplate:Unsigned2

French problems (Again)

Hey, I noticed two problems on this page. Could you please check them when you'll be available.

  • First, there is no lines between each items.
  • Then, the image of the placed Lhizhard Furnace don't want to appear. -- Dinoxel discussion 23:28, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

The image of the placed furnace does appear for me. Try hard-refreshing your browser (ctrl-F5)? Equazcion (talk) 23:44, 24 Jun 2015 (UTC)

Also in fr:Modèle:Crafts first sub row, replace each {{#var:style}} with {{#if:{{{top|}}}||border-top:1px solid #CCCCCC;}} Equazcion (talk) 00:17, 25 Jun 2015 (UTC)

I did everything you told me. It's working, thank you ! -- Dinoxel discussion 00:52, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
No problem. I also just realized those pages had top=y in each row; that was probably the main reason no lines were showing. That's only supposed to go on the first row. I fixed that on a few pages I found. Equazcion (talk) 01:48, 25 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Thank you to have fixed it ;) -- Dinoxel discussion 02:39, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Hey, I noticed that several furnitures have the ID and the craft in one table (like table) and others it is separate (like chandelier). I want to know if it will be the same on every furnitures ? -- Dinoxel discussion 14:45, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Hopefully everything will be in one table. Right now, Chandelier has two tables mostly because we needed to list all the different chandelier prices -- the crafts table can't show prices yet. IDs are in the other table because of a display problem I ran into, but I think I just fixed it, and I'll be moving the IDs over the the crafts table now. Equazcion (talk) 15:02, 25 Jun 2015 (UTC)
If you want to copy Template:Crafts first sub row to the French wiki now, I think you'll be able to list your IDs in all the crafts tables. We'll be doing that, likely from now on. I don't have a solution for listing prices yet, so when there are several different prices we may still be using separate tables for those, for now. Equazcion (talk) 15:18, 25 Jun 2015 (UTC)
We now have sell value display in the crafts table. Copy Template:Crafts row, Template:Crafts first sub row, and Template:Value if you want to add it at the French wiki, and see Chandelier for an example of how it's used. Equazcion (talk) 16:31, 25 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Nice work, I'll copy that thank you. ;) By the way in the futur, could you tell me when you change things in important templates (Like ajax) -- Dinoxel discussion 17:23, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
Sure, I can try to remember that ... although I won't always remember, and there are other people who could make changes to templates. This is a wiki after all. It's best to check recent template changes once in a while (like via this), but I'll try and give you a heads up. Equazcion (talk) 17:35, 25 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for the link, I saved it. -- Dinoxel discussion 17:48, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
I don't understand here why there is no line between Steampunk Boiler and Work Brench. It's exactly the same as the English page ! -- Dinoxel discussion 02:52, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
top=y problem again, fixed now :) Equazcion (talk) 02:56, 26 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Thank you again! And I notice that the Large Dynasty Lantern is in the placed chandeliers picture. So is this a Lantern or a Chandelier ? -- Dinoxel discussion 03:10, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
It's unclear what it is. It's in the placed Chandeliers because whoever originally updated the page assumed it was a chandelier. I say it's a lantern -- its crafting ingredients are more similar to the other lanterns (it doesn't take a chain like the chandeliers), it's called a lantern, and the crafting station is the workbench, like the other lanterns, not the anvil like the chandeliers. We'll need to update the placed image. Equazcion (talk) 03:15, 26 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Huhu ! Sorry to be meticulous. And you're right with your details, you have conviced me. -- Dinoxel discussion 03:31, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
No problem, I'm kinda meticulous myself here. :) Equazcion (talk) 04:12, 26 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Hye, I saw that you modifiy "MediaWiki:Common.js" and added "MediaWiki:ImageForeignUseCheck.js‎". Do I have to do something ? -- Dinoxel discussion 13:29, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────No, this only relates to the English wiki. It's a way for us to check if an image here is used on a foreign language wiki. The other language wikis don't serve as central image sources like the English version does. Equazcion (talk) 13:32, 28 Jun 2015 (UTC)

Ok I understand, thanks. I tried to modify what is write when an ajax table is loading here, but now the ajax tempalte doesn't work anymore. -- Dinoxel discussion 16:36, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
Replace the failure line with this: cell.text("Impossible de charger cette table; la source de l'article ne semble pas exister."); Equazcion (talk) 16:39, 28 Jun 2015 (UTC)
...and replace the success line with this: cell.text("Attendez s'il vous plait, le contenu est en train de charger..."); Equazcion (talk) 16:40, 28 Jun 2015 (UTC)
Thank you again :X -- Dinoxel discussion 18:00, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

New 1.3 spoilers

I know it's kind of hard to maintain sources on these, but the developers have been participating in several 1.3 prerelease live streams tonight. Most of the new information coming in is from player observation in those. I don't know how much of that spoiler information should be taken at face value, as some values are still being adjusted in response to viewer input, but most of it is valid. Gearzein (talk) 10:01, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

It just occurred to me that I read the times on the deletion log wrong, so you may know this already. Gearzein (talk) 10:05, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
There will be a lot to fix later, and likely some inaccuracies that slip by and remain in articles, if we allow a free-for-all during the spoiler streams. The release is only hours away now, so I don't think it will hurt to make everyone wait til the bits they want to post can be verified. I'd take a relaxed approach to the upcoming features page, since it will be moot soon anyway, but the individual articles on future features are mostly going to be around permanently and I think it may cause problems to base them on shaky ground. Equazcion (talk) 10:12, 29 Jun 2015 (UTC)
I just noticed your page creations. I don't think that's much of a problem if they stay general and just declare the item names and classes. Equazcion (talk) 10:16, 29 Jun 2015 (UTC)
I didn't create most of the pages, just put them in order with the other 1.3 items on the wiki. So far I've been trying to take the same approach as I have with other spoiled items- a limited page that treats it like it's not out yet so it isn't a red link when it's looked up but doesn't list any stats or too much information.
This post was an edit conflict- I was going to ask if you'd rather they be deleted, but if the solution so far works I've no problem with policing them for consistency and to weed out speculation. Gearzein (talk) 10:21, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
As long as you've seen the items yourself I have no problem with the pages remaining. When new editors create pages etc for things we've never heard of before, we can't be bothered to go searching for evidence of them, or have a batch of "maybe" material to look through and verify once the release happens. I'm about to post somethng at community noticeboard detailing how I plan to go about this. Equazcion (talk) 10:28, 29 Jun 2015 (UTC)

I know I should be...

...looking through the source code to get all the info up, but I'm having too much fun. Equazcion (talk) 22:04, 30 Jun 2015 (UTC)

I plan on doing infoboxes later tonight or early tomorrow for sure. All I've been able to do so far is patrol edits and make minor changes, as we've been getting several edits/minute. Chrisf1020 (talk) 22:12, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
I'm spending too much time fighting aliens and flying around in my UFO mount. I think Icke will be getting basic stats up at some point using automated means direct form the source code, so you might want to hold off for a little bit in case your manual efforts are for naught. Thanks for patrolling during this hectic time :) Equazcion (talk) 22:15, 30 Jun 2015 (UTC)

crafts templates for czech language

Hey Equazcion, I'd like to ask if you could help me change craft templates for Czech language. It'd take me more time to understand what parameters from one template are used in another one, than asking you for help. So is it possible to change those templates so they'd display Czech names and link to "EN/cz" pages? I have tried but made this mess Stone Block/cz :/ Thanks for you answer Kvikk (talk)

I think I got this fixed. You'll need to use "item1cz" and "item2cz" etc to provide czech names for ingredients. You were actually almost there yourself, it wasn't a mess at all :) Let me know if it's working the way you need. Equazcion (talk) 13:36, 1 Jul 2015 (UTC)
