The Chest Lock is a consumable item. Pressing the ⚒ Use / Attack button on certain types of Chests when holding it will turn the Chest into a locked Chest and consume the Chest Lock. The content of the Chest will not be affected by the conversion. Chests locked in this way work the same as the naturally generated locked Chests, requiring another respective key to unlock. Also, Do not use the Chest lock on Dressers, doing this will consume the Chest lock without locking the dresser.

Notes

• Chests locked by the Chest Lock are eligible for obtaining Achievements such as Dungeon Heist and Big Booty when unlocked again.
• Biome Chests are unable to be locked on worlds that do not have Plantera defeated.

Tips

• The player should avoid placing important items inside unlocked Biome Chests, especially in multiplayer, to avoid the Chest being locked by themselves or other players.
