The Putrid Scent is a Hardmode accessory. When equipped, it will increase damage and critical strike chance by 5%, as well as making enemies less likely to target players other than the wearer.

Putrid Scents have a 1 in 5 (20%) chance to drop from a Corrupt Mimic.

Trivia

Putrid Scent is the Corruption counterpart to Crimson's Flesh Knuckles, since it increases damage dealt and decreases odds of being targeted, while the Flesh Knuckles decreases damage received and increases the odds of being targeted.
