The Console version of Terraria is published by 505Games. It is a port of the PC version (developed by Re-Logic) ported to Unity by Pipeworks.[1]
The console version is currently available on 6 different console systems (3 of which run on Old-gen consoles, which run on the original engine built in XNA). The game was released on the Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2019.[2]
The Nintendo version is considered separate on this wiki, and has its own page and its own history. It will not receive any significant updates past its current PC 1.2 equivalent.[3]
Due to hardware requirement issues and memory constraints, Old-gen platforms (Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and the Wii U) will not receive significant updates past the 1.2.4.1 PC equivalent (see Old-gen console version).[4][5][6]
