Laser Drill is powerfull Chainsaw/Drill dropped by Martian Saucer during Martian Madness event . Drill is very small but beam can extend more than any tool does.

The best Modifier available to this tool is Godly, as drills cannot receive modifiers that affect speed.

• With 230% pickaxe power, the Laser Drill is stronger than the previous strongest pickaxe in the game, the Picksaw (210% pickaxe power). Comparatively, the Picksaw can mine faster but the Laser Drill has a much longer reach.
• While Laser Drill is the strongest, the Solar Flare Pickaxe, Nebula Pickaxe, Vortex Pickaxe, and Stardust Pickaxe are capable of mining faster.
• Because of its ridiculous reach, its far easier to break Plantera's Bulb without needing to make tunnels all over the jungle. It also produces its own light so you don't need to get closer to mine ores.
• Despite its lack of mining power compared to the Luminite Pickaxes, the Laser Drill may be still more useful when building a base because of its bigger reach.
• When having an effect that increases mining range, like equipping the Extendo Grip, the drill will extend longer, which will also increase its melee range.
