Notes[]
- This enemy is noticeably larger than other worms, ranging from 12 to 21 segments long.
- The Dune Splicer has a higher maximum speed and faster acceleration compared to other worm enemies. This, combined with the Dune Splicer's large size and ability to make extremely sharp turns while digging makes them a very dangerous enemy.
Trivia[]
- Dune Splicers may be inspired by the sandworms in the Dune franchise. This further reinforced by the Bestiary entry, as a substance called the Spice is a major part of Dune.
- It is the largest non-boss worm-type enemy in the game.
The Bestiary entry for the Dune Splicer: "The world's largest, most deadly worm. Strengthened by ancient magicks, it can devour a spicy Terrarian quicker than they realize."
