A Fairy Glowstick after it has been thrown directly downward.

The Fairy Glowstick is a type of Glowstick sold by the Zoologist for 75 when all three fairies have been recorded in the Bestiary. The Fairy Glowstick functions like a regular Glowstick when thrown, however, when it collides with a block, it will hover above it at a certain height.

The Fairy Glowstick provides more illumination compared to a regular Glowstick in a watery environment.

Notes

• The Fairy Glowstick will always move itself to the position which covers the most area, though this ability is quite limited. It does this by moving slightly left or right from the impact area and hovering at the most effective height (limited).

Tips

• It may be especially useful in the Ocean biome while looking for Chests or farming enemies.
• Its hovering ability in conjunction with its larger illumination radius in liquids make it quite useful for illuminating surrounding walls in watery environments.
