The Poison Staff is a Hardmode magic weapon that auto-fires a roughly 45-degree spread of 4 "poison fangs" that pierce multiple enemies and inflict the Poisoned debuff. It is dropped by Black Recluses, which can only be found in or around Spider Nests.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Notes

• Each enemy is only damaged once by a single burst, regardless of how many projectiles hit.
• Liquids will slow its projectiles.

Tips

• Effective against worm-type enemies, such as Wyverns, The Destroyer, and The Eater of Worlds, since its projectiles can pierce through multiple segments.
