Tips[]

  • Desktop version Crafting the Fire Gauntlet from the Mechanical Glove does not reduce any of its stat boosts, making it strictly an upgraded version of the latter.
  • Console VersionOld-gen console versionMobile version3DS version One may probably find it more useful to keep the Mechanical Glove, since, unlike many other combined accessories, the Fire Gauntlet loses some functionality of its constituent parts. The Mechanical Glove gives Console and Mobile versions 2% / Old-gen console version3DS version 3% more damage and speed in its boost than the Fire Gauntlet, and the On Fire! damage from the Fire Gauntlet is negligible.
  • The Fire Gauntlet can be worn alongside the Mechanical Glove with the effects of both stacking, greatly boosting damage and melee speed. This is useful for the few hardmode weapons significantly affected by melee speed such as the Psycho Knife or Fetid Baghnakhs.

History[]

  • Desktop 1.4.1:
    • Now increases the size of (eligible) melee weapons by 10%.
    • Damage and melee speed increased from 10% to 12%.
    • Now inflicts Hellfire, a variant of On Fire! that does 15 DPS instead of 4.
  • Desktop 1.3.0.1: Increased melee damage and attack speed boosts from 9% to 10%.
  • Desktop 1.2.4: Now only yields melee knockback instead of all types. Patch notes: Titan Glove and its upgrades now applies only melee knockback.
  • Console 1.07: Now only yields melee knockback instead of all types.
  • Mobile 1.3.0.7: Increased melee damage and attack speed boosts from 9% to 10%.
