The Gas Trap is a trap item created by throwing a Whoopie Cushion into a pool of Shimmer. When placed in a Storage item, aside from personal containers like the Void Bag, the Gas Trap releases a cloud of gas which deals no damage but inflicts the Poisoned debuff for 49 / 98 / 123 seconds.. Once this happens, the item becomes a Used Gas Trap, which can be refilled by throwing it into shimmer once again.

If a chest containing a gas trap is opened with autopause on, the trap will not trigger.

It can also be obtained from Chests in the Everything Seed.
