The Meowmere is one of the strongest weapons, if not the strongest weapon in the game. It shoots projectiles that look like cat heads, which leave rainbow trails behind them. The Meowmere is a drop from the Moon Lord.

Notes

Redigit first mentioned a Meowmere as being a sword that makes cat sounds when swung, in a possibly joking manner. Cenx later confirmed that the item was indeed planned for 1.3.

Trivia

The projectiles that the sword fires were probably inspired by the Nyan Cat meme.
The sword looks similar to the Palladium Sword.
Doing a base damage of 200, this sword can be extremely useful to kill bosses with the correct armor and accessories.
