The Animation of the Shadowflame Knife.

The Shadowflame Knife is a throwable weapon that doesn't consume any ammunition or mana upon its use and will inflict the Shadowflame debuff when hitting an enemy. The Shadowflame on hit effect deals 5 damage per second to the target. It can be really effective if aquired early in Hardmode but will still be a good choice as a ranged weapon later on. Its best Modifier is Godly, since the size isn't modifiable.

The Shadowflame Knife is dropped by the Goblin Summoner, who will spawn during a Goblin Invasion after Hardmode has been initiated. Its drop chance is 16% (33% in Expert mode) and has the same drop chance as the Shadowflame Hex Doll and the Shadowflame Bow which also drops from the Goblin Summoner.
