The Golden Seaweed was used to summon a pet Golden Turtle. It lasted until the player manually canceled the buff by using the Golden Seaweed again. It was obtained from Chests, but only on the Amazon Fire TV. It was obtainable on other mobile devices via trading.

This item was removed alongside all other mobile exclusive content in the Mobile 1.3.0.7 update.

Players on Windows Phone who acquired the Golden Seaweed via trading continue to have access to it.

Trivia

• Despite the name of the item, its color was a reddish orange rather than gold (though the summoned Turtle was gold).
• The turtle's flying animation may have been a reference to Gamera, a Japanese turtle monster similar to Godzilla that could fly, breathe fire, and was a friend to a child who loved turtles.
