Grass Seeds are used to plant Grass on Dirt Blocks, as well as being used in crafting recipes and as a material for the Rubblemaker. They are purchased from the Dryad for 20 each, while a Blood Moon is not occurring. Grass Seeds can be used to start Tree and Mushroom Farm.

This item does not become obsolete once the player finds a Staff of Regrowth because, while it can plant grass for free and with unlimited uses, it cannot be used for crafting or with the Rubblemaker.

On the  PC version,  Console version,  Mobile version, and  tModLoader version, they can be used to craft Lichen Stone Wall and Ivy Stone Wall.
