The Greater Mana Potion is a potion that restores 200 mana upon use and is third to the Super Mana Potion and Strange Brew, respectively, in potency of mana restoration items. Unlike most potions, Greater Mana Potions cannot be crafted. Instead, they can be purchased from the Wizard for 5 / 10 , or dropped by Biome Mimics. On the Old-gen console version, Windows Phone version, Old Chinese version, Nintendo version, and tModLoader 1.3-Legacy version, they can additionally be obtained from Golden Crates, but on the PC version, Console version, Mobile version, and tModLoader version, they cannot be obtained outside of Hardmode.
Equipping a Mana Flower lets a player consume any type of mana potion automatically. Consuming any mana-restoring potion will enact the Mana Sickness debuff, decreasing magic damage for a short duration.
