The Grebe is a critter that spawns in bodies of water in the Desert biome. Like all other critters, it has 5 health, no defense, and is often killed instantly by other enemies or the player.

It can be caught with any Bug Net to be carried around in the inventory and released later, or crafted into a Grebe Cage to be used as decorative furniture. Once crafted, the caged Grebe cannot be released again, and when placed down it moves around inside the cage as it would do outside.

Notes

• Its sprite appears to be based on the appearance of the black-necked grebe, also known as the eared grebe.
