Notes

• The Venus Magnum does not autofire.
• Can be considered a Hardmode upgrade of the Phoenix Blaster.
• Musket Balls and Silver Bullets fired from this weapon gain the effects (but not damage) of High Velocity Bullets.

Tips

• The Megashark's base DPS (without bullet damage) is 230, as opposed to the Venus Magnum's 270 (assuming one has the ability to manually click 7.5 times per second), though the Megashark has autofire. With a 10-damage bullet, Megashark has 330 DPS, vs the Venus Magnum at 345 DPS.
• This weapon can be noticeably more effective than the Megashark against more heavily-armored (40+ defense) enemies, since it deals more damage per hit to overcome a high enemy defense stat.
