The Hellfire Treads are a pre-Hardmode accessory that will give the wearer the ability to walk on all liquids and have 7 seconds of immunity to lava damage. It also reduces lava's base damage from 80 to 35.

The Hellfire Treads are functionally identical to the Lava Waders, except for the trail of flames that are purely cosmetic. Although the Hellfire Treads are a combination of two items, only one effects. If equipped in a vanity slot, the trail of flames is visible.

Tips

• The Lava Charm, Lava Waders, Molten Charm, Terraspark Boots, and Demonic Hellcart stack with the Hellfire Treads to increase lava immunity by 7 seconds each, to a maximum total of 42 seconds.
• It is suggested to keep the Flame Waker Boots and Lava Waders as separate items, as combining the two together prevents you from crafting Terraspark Boots, which are statistically more useful and you can wear Flame Waker Boots as a vanity accessory for the visual effect.
