The Houndius Shootius is a pre-Hardmode sentry summon weapon that summons a Houndius Shootius sentry which shoots projectiles at enemies. It has a 25*1/4 (25%) chance to be dropped by the Deerclops.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Houndius Shootius has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
Trivia
- The Houndius Shootius is the only pre-Hardmode sentry which is not a Tavernkeep's Sentry.
- The tooltip is a reference to Wortox's examination quote for the Houndius Shootius in Don't Starve Together.
