The Dark Lance can be found in a Gold Chests in the Underworld. Each world contains exactly one Dark Lance. When used, it will illuminate the area around you, useful in the night time while fighting. It can pierce through enemies.

Notes
- Unfortunately, the Dark Lance appears to be largely unaffected by melee speed accessories or set effects. Fortunately, the Molten Armor set's melee damage increase still works.
- This weapon is useful for finding caves due to its long light reach and its light emitting particles lingering for several seconds.
- This weapon is so far Terraria's longest reaching melee weapon.
