Maggots are critters that replace Worms in the Graveyard mini-biome and fall off of Maggot Zombies when hit.

They cannot harm players. They move and behave similarly to worms, and can be used as bait with 22% bait power.

It can be caught with any Bug Net to be carried around in the inventory and released later, or crafted into a Maggot Cage to be used as decorative furniture. Once crafted, the caged Maggot cannot be released again, and when placed down it moves around inside the cage as it would do outside.

Trivia

• Contrary to one of his quotes, the Skeleton Merchant does not sell Maggots.

The Bestiary entry for the Maggot: "An unsavory larval bug which feasts on dead, rotting matter. Fish are somewhat attracted to these."
