The Magma Snail is a critter that spawns in The Underworld. It can be caught using the Lavaproof Bug Net or Golden Bug Net to be carried around in the inventory and released later, or crafted into a Magma Snail Cage to be placed as an animated furniture item. Magma Snails can be used as bait for fishing, having 35% bait power.

Attempting to catch a Magma Snail with a standard Bug Net will not work, resulting in 1 damage taken and being inflicted with the Burning debuff for 5 seconds.

Tips

• Magma Snails sell for 50, so capturing all Magma Snails that are encountered in the Underworld can be an efficient way to make money.

Trivia

• Its shell appears to closely resemble the Demon Conch. Considering Magma Snails are only found in the Underworld and that the Demon Conch can only be acquired from lava, it's possible the Demon Conch may just be a Magma Snail shell.

The Bestiary entry for the Magma Snail: "A unique species of snail which withstands extreme heat. Its boiling slime trail melts down most weaker surfaces."
