The Molten Hamaxe is a tool which functions as both a Hammer and an Axe, and is an upgrade from the Meteor Hamaxe. It is crafted with Hellstone Bars. This tool has a chance of burning enemies when it hits them. Its Hammer and Axe power are the most of pre-hardmode utilities. In axe power, it can best most hardmode tools, including all of the Chainsaws and even the Drax. In fact, with 150% axe power, it is second only to The Axe, which has 175%.

Notes

Although it is slightly slower than the Drax, the Molten Hamaxe is capable of getting the *light* modifier, unlike the Drax. This will push the Molten Hamaxe's speed so it can break trees just about as quickly as the Drax. This ability can prove to be a very effective substitute for a Drax, from pre-hardmode onward. However, the Drax's equivalent, the Pickaxe Axe, can also get the light modifier, as can the Picksaw and The Axe.

File:Anomaly.png Anomaly: On the PlayStation Vita version, when you aim at a tree with Smart Cursor, it won't aim at the stump, instead it aims at the piece above it, making it so when you chop down the tree the stump remains, unless the player aims at the tree while standing 1 block or lower below the base of the tree.
