The Deathbringer Pickaxe is the fifth tier of Pickaxe. Like all pickaxes, it is used to mine a majority of blocks and ores.

This, the Nightmare Pickaxe, the Molten Pickaxe, and the Reaver Shark are the only Pre-Hardmode pickaxes able to mine Ebonstone Blocks/Crimstone, Obsidian, Hellstone, and Dungeon Bricks.<br />

It is the Crimson variant of the Nightmare Pickaxe, but its mining speed is one less and it needs one less hit to mine ebonstone/crimstone/hellstone or dungeon blocks.

How are we defining what is a piece and what is a set? Why aren't the White Tuxedo Shirt and Pants, the Pharaoh's Mask and Robe, the Rune Hat and Robe or the Rain Hat and Coat considered sets? When outfits like the Treasure Hunter costume, the Pixie costume and Bride of Frankenstein costume are, which also consists of only two pieces. I feel like the categories lack definition and the 2 piece outfits should be in one or the other, not mixed into both.

Compared to the Nightmare Pickaxe, the Deathbringer Pickaxe has superior power, and has slightly better mining speed.

It is actually much faster than the higher-tier Molten Pickaxe at mining weak block types: Ash, Clay, Dirt, Mud, Sand and Silt. It is still slower at mining stronger block types like Bricks, Gems, Stone, Meteorite, Obsidian, but faster at mining the strongest pre-Hardmode block type (i.e. Hellstone, Crimstone, Ebonstone, Pearlstone, Dungeon Bricks). Therefore, even when you can acquire the Molten Pickaxe, it is advisable to keep this one around so they can be swapped as needed. Rapid swapping is possible by selecting the pick which is later in your inventory and then holding shift to swap to the other pick as needed.

* After reaching hardmode and acquiring a Cobalt/Palladium Drill or Cobalt/Palladium Pickaxe, however, you can discard both of your pickaxes as drills are stronger and faster than both the Molten Pickaxe and Nightmare Pickaxe. (Although you may want to consider keeping the Molten Pickaxe as it emits light and therefore still has its uses for mining)

Hey, I noticed that a lot of helmets cover up one's facial hair as well as one's scalp-based hair. So far the "hat" type items are a bit better but are inconsistent: the rain hat covered up my guy's beard but the top hat, rune hat, Tim hat (as distinct from wizard's hat), and the viking helmet have not. Any possibility of getting a checklist for this sort of thing, if not a more consistent system? Thanks. 73.174.193.209 01:11, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

You forgot to include the Red Hat, which drops from the Clothier, in your loose vanity items. Also, you have at least one halloween vanity set included in non-halloween categories. Might want to double-check the layout.

Vanity Pieces or Sets?

How are we defining what is a piece and what is a set? Why aren't the White Tuxedo Shirt and Pants, the Pharaoh's Mask and Robe, the Rune Hat and Robe or the Rain Hat and Coat considered sets? When outfits like the Treasure Hunter costume, the Pixie costume and Bride of Frankenstein costume are, which also consists of only two pieces. I feel like the categories lack definition and the 2 piece outfits should be in one or the other, not mixed into both.

Giant Bow

I killed a slime wearing a bow on top of it post V1.2.2 and it dropped this Vanity Item. Anyone else found one?

Snow Hat

It's missing 'Snow Hat', I got 2 from presents, it remembers me the hat that 'Stan' from 'South Park' tv series wears.

It's also missing the 'Parka'(kenny) set end the Tree set.

Facial hair?

Hey, I noticed that a lot of helmets cover up one's facial hair as well as one's scalp-based hair. So far the "hat" type items are a bit better but are inconsistent: the rain hat covered up my guy's beard but the top hat, rune hat, Tim hat (as distinct from wizard's hat), and the viking helmet have not. new discussion for potential missing item

You forgot to include the Red Hat, which drops from the Clothier, in your loose vanity items. Also, you have at least one halloween vanity set included in non-halloween categories. Might want to double-check the layout.

Missing Sets

In the Japenese PlayStation Terraria there're two vanity sets based on characters from the Anime Danganronpa. I'd add them if I could find any images.

The Ninja Set, dropped by King Slime, is also missing. 129.21.243.131 13:41, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

The ninja set has been moved to armors as it actually gives you defense and and more throwing damage since 1.3.0.1. Mythteller (talk) 20:04, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

The Zombie Eskimo set is not included on this page. I am unable to find an image so I can't add it in.
