The Party Girl is a pre-Hardmode NPC vendor who sells festive novelty items and furniture.
Unlike most other town NPCs, the Party Girl has a random 2.5*1/40 (2.5%) chance to spawn every morning once the criteria below are met, rather than being guaranteed to appear once fulfilling them. This random chance also applies to her respawning following her death.
- There is no other NPC waiting to move in.
- There is an empty house.
- 14 (
) / 12 () / 8 () other town NPCs are in the world. Note that while the Old Man, Traveling Merchant, and Town petscount towards this total, the Skeleton Merchantdoes not.[2]
On the PC version, Console version, Mobile version, Old Chinese version, tModLoader version, and tModLoader 1.3-Legacy version, the Party Girl will defend herself against nearby enemies by throwing Happy Grenades at them, dealing 30 / 45 / 52 damage at the start of the game, and (on the PC version, Console version, Mobile version, and tModLoader version) as players progress she will gain various stat increases.[1] She will also occasionally throw confetti at the player. Sometimes she may drop a large quantity of Happy Grenades upon her death.
On the PC version, Console version, Mobile version, and tModLoader version, when talked to during a Party, she will give the first player to talk to her a Slice of Cake.

Music toggle
After the world with seed 05162020 is visited, the game unlocks the option to toggle the game's default soundtrack for the Terraria: Otherworld soundtrack, by selecting the "Music" option through the Party Girl. Once unlocked, the option carries across all players and all worlds.
Every song in Terraria's soundtrack is replaced, and those that do not have a Terraria: Otherworld equivalent will use the most relevant song; for example, the Underground Jungle will simply use Terraria: Otherworld's Jungle theme, rather than Terraria's Underground Jungle theme.
On a multiplayer world, players will only hear the altered soundtrack if they have used the "Music" option themselves, which will only be present for those who have visited seed 05162020. However, Otherworld music boxes are listenable for all players on multiplayer worlds, regardless of whether they've toggled the option before.
Every new song has its own unique Music Box, all of which are called "Otherworldly Music Boxes".
Upon leaving the world, the soundtrack will revert to the default.
Quotes:
- "I think this party could use a switch-up! How about these jams?"
- "We've been partying to this song for years! Let's change it up!"
- "Are the tunes killing your party? I'll shuffle the playlist for you."

Notes
- On the PC version, Console version, Mobile version, and tModLoader version in any world with the seed 05162020, the Party Girl will replace the Guide as the starting Town NPC.
- The Party Girl is summoned with a King Statue instead of a Queen Statue.
- Though the Party Girl is mostly seen as a source of novelty and decorative items, a number of her items are fairly useful:
- The Bubbles that she sells have a variety of practical uses, such as holding honey and water in midair to provide regeneration and activate the Cute Fishron's speed boost, respectively.
- Her Rockets can also be used as an elaborate way to kill bosses.
- Pigronatas provide an early (and safe, but expensive) source for Bacon.
- Party Bullets are cheaper than Musket Balls but have better stats than Silver Bullets.
- The Slice of Cake she offers to players (one per party) provides a buff that is useful for building.

- Redigit has stated that the Party Girl was partially inspired by the character Pinkie Pie from the Canadian-American children's animated fantasy television series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.[3] The names Sparkle and Trixy are likely references to the characters Princess Twilight Sparkle and Trixie from the same series.
- The Party Girl was sprited by former Terraria spriter Waffles.
- It is possible for the Party Girl and the Dryad to both be named Isis.
- The quote, "There was a sudden crash of thunder at the disco, so I panicked!" is a reference to the band Panic! at the Disco.
