A platform, craftable anywhere from 1 Wood. Wood platforms allow vertical movement by the player, mobs and NPCs through them, although enemy mobs can only jump up through them in one direction, apart from zombies. Wood platforms allow the passage of falling water downwards through them. Also, latching to them with a Grappling Hook will let the player leap straight on them, making them a fast mean of ascending great heights.

Because of the high mobility a player has while on them, they can be used in a variety of ways:as a walkway, a fast bridge to cross pits, or for a roof access that keeps most mobs from getting through. Also, since Books, Candles, Clay Pots and other items can be placed on them, they can be used as a shelving for decorative purposes.
