The Platinum Axe is an early game axe, being stronger than both the Silver and Tungsten Axe, and weaker than both the War Axe of the Night and Blood Lust Cluster. It has an alternative version, the Gold Axe, which is slightly weaker. Like all axes, it is used to cut down trees, cacti, and Giant Glowing Mushrooms.

Its best modifier is Light for harvesting purposes and Legendary for combat purposes.
