The Anvil is a type of crafting station that is used to forge metal bars into tools, weapons, armor, and other items. The Anvil is 2 blocks wide, 1 block high, and must be placed on top of solid blocks or Platforms. There are 4 types of Anvils in the game: Iron Anvil, Lead Anvil, Mythril Anvil, Orichalcum Anvil. The Iron and Lead Anvils act exactly the same, as Iron and Lead are alternate ores, and each world only spawns with one or the other. The same is true for the Mythril and Orichalcum Anvils. Additionally, the Mythril and Orichalcum Anvils perform all the functions of their predecessors in addition to new recipes, making them a straight upgrade to the Iron and Lead Anvils.
