Shurikens are thrown consumable weapons that can pierce several enemies. Shuriken have a 50% chance of being retrievable again after use, even if they've hit enemies. Shuriken can be found in pots and chests around the world, and can be purchased from the Merchant. Since Shuriken are easy to obtain, they are an effective early game ranged weapon, and are very effective against the Eye of Cthulhu.

Notes

• Like Boomerangs, Shuriken can be thrown through single-block-thick walls, at certain angles.
• Shurikens thrown upwards can hit enemies multiple times, so against the Eye of Cthulhu for example, use shurikens when he's above you, and a bow when he's to your side.
