Template:Pc/console only The Water Gun is a novelty Weapon that causes no damage. It inflicts the Wet debuff on players, enemies, and NPCs, which does nothing but show a dripping animation on the inflicted character, and has a duration of 25 seconds. The Water Gun can be used limitlessly and does not consume any ammunition or mana. It can be bought from the Traveling Merchant.

The Water Gun cannot have Modifiers.

The debuff tooltip says "You are dripping water".

Notes

• Although the Water Gun is a weapon, it cannot be placed on a Weapon Rack but instead on an Item Frame.

Tips

• The Water Gun can be helpful against worms, The Eater of Worlds, and The Destroyer, as the Water Gun's debuff effect can be seen in blocks.
• The Wet debuff given by the Water Gun seems to trigger the Cute Fishron's buffs, so it may be useful in multiplayer to periodically shoot a fellow player with a Cute Fishron mount with it.

Trivia

• The Water Gun resembles the original Super Soaker toy, specifically the Super Soaker 50.
• You can have both debuffs "Wet" and "On fire!" active at the same time, they do not cancel each other out.
• The water stream fired by the gun can pass through lava.
