Template:Summoned
Not to be confused with the Shrimpy Truffle.
The Scaly Truffle is a Hardmode Mount summoning item. When used, it summons a Pigron Mount that allows the player to fly for a limited time, and run faster on land. It is obtained by Fishing in the cavern layer of a Snow biome overlapping a Hallow, Corruption, or Crimson biome in Hardmode. Chance to catch it is 1/100 with 50 Fishing power and 1/50 with 100 Fishing Power.
Notes
- At top speed, running on land is faster on a Pigron Mount than it is using Lightning Boots.
- Flight time on a Pigron Mount is comparable to Frozen/Flame/Spectre/Beetle/Leaf Wings.
- There is no movement bonus in liquids.
- The top running speed of a Pigron Mount is 46mph.
Trivia
- Although the Pigron enemy can appear in different colors, the Pigron Mount's color is pink.
The Pigron Mount can be dyed in the Mount equip slot to fit a player's preference, and the biome specific colors of the Pigron enemy can be recreated with purple for corruption, and red for crimson.
- When standing still on it for a while, it will eventually yawn.
- The Pigron's mount description "Now you see me..." is a reference to how Pigrons can turn nearly invisible. It is also a reference to the widely used phrase, “Now you see me... now you don’t.”
