Seeds

Seeds are used to grow trees, gemcorns, grass, herbs, decorative flowers, and pumpkins that can provide the player with crafting ingredients for mostly potions, or in the case of grass seeds, for the creation or expansion of biomes. Most seed types have specific conditions they require in order to sprout. Seeds are planted in specific soils, and Herb seeds can also be planted in Clay Pots or in any Planter Box. To plant a seed, select it in the hotbar and press ⚒ Use / Attack above the planting location.

Types

Currently, there are 17 different types of seeds, 7 of which are grass seeds and 7 of which are herb seeds.

Notes

• Acorns can be planted on any grass type except Mushroom grass.
• Grass Seeds can only be planted on Dirt/Mud Blocks. They cannot be planted over other types of grass.

Tips

• The Staff of Regrowth (and its upgrade the Axe of Regrowth) increases the number of seeds gathered when used on blooming herb plants, and has a chance to harvest an extra herb as well.

Trivia

• The Acorn is the only seed that can produce different species when planted on different blocks.
