Talk: Treasure Bag

The treasure bag from Wall of Flesh seems to be giving the emblem that correspond to the weapon you are carrying. I didnt try with empty hands. NutellaTactical (talk) 20:22, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

It's random. People who happen to get the emblem that matches their weapon tend to assume there's a correlation, but it's completely random. Equazcion ^(talk) 21:10, 31 Jul 2015 (UTC)

My first remark (not a statement) was made after a few tests where i got only ranger emblems while using a bow to defeat WoF. Then i asked myself if there was a link between the held item and the emblem obtained. I then used bananarangs and obtained melee emblems. My last test was with a summoning staff where i got a summoner emblem. I came here to discuss this strange behavior. Looks like RNGesus played with me. In short, i didn't made a correlation with a one-time attempt but did try. For my next experiment i'll try to see if there is a link between people who write their names in bold and big-headed people. --NutellaTactical (talk) 00:38, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

There's no need to resort to snippy comments. Even if you weren't making the assertion that the two were correlated (though your use of the word "correspond" seems to belie your newfound intentions) this is not a forum to discuss oddities of the random number generator. The only valid point of discussion relevant to this wiki is the drop rates stated in the source code, which Equazcion reiterated as appropriate.
