The multiplayer world of Terraria may be accessed in the PC version by simply having a friend tell the I.P. address to a server, but only if a server is already made. Terraria on the Xbox 360 has a way where when you have a friend wanting to play on the Xbox they must turn on the another controller and press start while you are playing the game. Note that the Second player has to be signed into an account for this to work.
