Frost Staff[]
I cannot find any evidence that the Ice Golem drops the Frost Staff as of 1.2.1.2. Can anyone confirm this? --Metasynthie (talk) 16:42, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- I can confirm this. the first time I killed one of those golems, it gave me not just a frost core, but also a frost feather, and a frost staff. no joke. Haven't seen one since, either. freakin' crazy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.59.224.214 at 05:16, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
- I would like to request another confirmation. It might be possible that the Ice Golem's death coincided with the death of an Ice Elemental which dropped the Frost Staff. I went through the source code of the Desktop versions since 1.2.0.2 but couldn't find anything that would hint at the fact that the Frost Staff is dropped by Ice Golems. This information was originally added on October 8, 2013, by the same anonymous editor who also added it to the Frost Staff's article a few minutes before. They initially left question marks in place of a drop rate, which were replaced with the 1/50 chance a couple of days later. I suspect that the editor who originally added it experienced a similar situation to the user above, and the editor who added the drop chance assumed that it was the same chance as from the other two enemies. I have removed this information from both articles. Before re-adding it, please kindly provide a reference to a relevant part in the source code or video proof (non-modded, of course, and including platform and version specification).
