Star Wars reference[]

The current trivia "The Lifeform Anaylyzer could be a reference to a device of the same name in the movie Star Wars, which is a portable sensor package that could be carried by an individual." Seems to be making too much of an assumption, as the name of it is extremely generick as to what the item does. Dunno if it's worth having in the trivia TheParad0xZ (talk) 18:37, 3 July 2015 (UTC)

Gnome[]

While uncertain at what rarity they show up, 'Gnome' is considered a rare creature for the Lifeform Analyzer. 72.39.111.222 23:43, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Dye Creatures[]

It seems all the creatures which give a dye item now show up on the lifeform analyzer: I have observed it alerting to Squid, Cochineal Beetle, Sea Snail, and Lac Beetle. I can assume it would alert to Cyan Beetle as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.39.111.222 (talk) at 16:15, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

The three beetles were detectable prior to 1.4. --Superwill771 (talk) 01:14, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Missing information[]

Some of the enemies shown here don’t have their rarities listed. Also, what happens if multiple creatures of the same rarity are both detected? 174.66.199.150 21:10, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

If there are multiple creatures with the same rarity nearby, then it depends on their order within the internal NPCs array, which is impossible to determine without third-party tools. I added this to the article. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 13:46, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Rarity numbers?[]

Does a lower number mean the creature is more rare or less rare? It doesn't say anywhere on the page. 174.240.2.50 04:51, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

The number doesn't say anything about the actual rarity (as in spawn rates), but is merely an indicator for the Lifeform Analyzer (and also, in part, for the Bestiary; but nothing else). The name of the creature with the highest rarity number will be displayed. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 13:46, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Relogic needs to sort out this mess[]

I hate how the numbers are not proportional to the actual rarity of that creature. WHY DOES THIS ITEM CONSIDER MIMICS TO BE RARER THAN NYMPHS?!!!!!
