    Request to be added[edit source]

Hello. I am a long time player of Terraria Desktop, and I have much experience with it. I would love to be added as an editor so I can help update the wiki with new and changed items and features from the 1.4 update. I have already been working on updating the upcoming features with new information, and I would be glad to continue to quickly bring out accurate update information. Request to be added[edit source]

Hi, I'd like to be added to the editors list. I've been helping around the wiki recently creating item pages, copyediting, and reporting vandalism. I play Desktop and have basic familiarity with the source code, so I can pull up information about item functionality, vendor sales, etc without too much trouble. On the wikicode side, I've learned how to use a good number of the standard templates+infoboxes and I'm hoping to pick up more through practice. You can check my contributions page to see where I've helped out, or contact me in the Discord under the same username. Cheers! Breathlessblizzard (talk) 22:38, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

I've added you. Thank you so much for your help :) – Ferretwings (talk) 23:06, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

    Request to be added[edit source]

Hello! I'd like to be added to the editors list. I mostly play mobile, but can readily test pretty much anything on the Console version (latest version, Xbox One), and will sometimes be able to test some Desktop things. I'll hopefully be able to be editing a lot more actively, and am currently working to achieve consistency, especially with the flood of 1.4 articles. Thanks for your consideration! —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 17:57, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

    Request to be added[edit source]

Hi! I'd like to be added to the editor's list. I have (what I'd like to think) an extensive knowledge of most Terraria Desktop version mechanics, as well as features and content. I've joined pretty recently in order to help with 1.4 content additions, and I helped to start adding happiness quotes for the happiness quotes project to most NPCs, as well as preparing to start the DPS project (to find the average DPS of weapons). Thank you for reading, no hard feelings if I don't make it. DanZeMan (talk) 12:49, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

    terraria 2[edit source]

Is there a page on what we know about the new terraria that's suppose to come out. If not could we add one. PS I'm pretty new to working on wikis so tell me why if not. LucasFSM2 (talk) 13:30, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Yes, there is: Terraria 2. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 15:18, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

The best wiki I have ever seen[edit source]

I have not much to say, I just was looking for a place to tell you guys, that this is an absolutely outstanding wiki. It's just insane how much detail is provided. Thank you - so much!

    Stay healthy, Pete

    Update plz[edit source]

ReLogic I ask kindly of you to plz update Xbox360 terraria once or twice so we (most of people with only a Xbox360 terraria) have moon lord items and have a better experience and at least have some of the stuff on the new wiki ,it is hard to find stuff on this wiki., I hope relogic sees this I love your game in this version but moonlord stuff is better.

    ReLogic plz I beg nicely. 95.216.20.51 01:14, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello, the developers are very unlikely to read this page. If you want to get in touch with them, your chances are much higher at the forums or on the Terraria Discord. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 01:19, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Sorry to say this, but they can’t. The Xbox 360 can’t handle the tremendous power that 1.3 needs, which is why it isn’t going to be updated ever again. Assuming you have a phone or tablet, get it on mobile, it’s cheap and has all 1.3 items, bosses and more. 84.66.142.205 16:28, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Acorns and saplings section does not include gem trees[edit source]

On the tree page, I was scrolling through and saw the acorns and saplings don't include the new gem trees. This was easily noticeable when it stated that trees could not be grown underground and must be grown on grass, snow, or sand. I would fix it myself, but I don't know much about links or anything when it comes to editing things on the wiki (which I'm planning on learning later) and I also don't have much time on my hands. Separate Wikis[edit source]

So a while ago, re-logic stated they hoped to add crossplay between pc, console, and mobile. If this happened, something that would make sense is if that version had a separate wiki to the legacy versions, so the disparities wouldnt confuse anyone. This would also help when future updates happen (seeing how many 'final updates' there have been, its more than likely). So simply, a separate wiki for the crossplay and legacy ones. If that update comes to fruition, that is. ShadowBlade8192 (talk) 19:41, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi, there isn't much interest in having two distinct wikis for that as the actual one already suffice. Also, it has already been brought that once Desktop, Console, and Mobile will have the same version, several tweaks might occur to "hide" pre-1.3.0.1 content (Old-gen console and 3DS) on pages, as these versions were terminated, in order to clean the icons excess on the wiki. There hasn't been an in-depth discussion about this right now as it's not topical. Dinoxel (talk) 20:48, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

Most images gone from their respective pages.[edit source]

Pretty sure the files still exist, just not on the pages? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jahfield1 (talkcontribs) at 19:37, 8 April 2021‎ (UTC)

Yep, same for me. At first, I thought it was just a problem on my end, but when I go into the editing history I can see the images. My guess is a major update on the site broke them. Hopefully, it is fixed soon. TessboB (talk) 20:18, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
Same. Seems to be related to the wiki migrating over to fandom, but it'll hopefully get fixed soon. Biting Chicken (talk) 21:30, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

I'm trying to find a specific enemy[edit source]

I played Terraria a long time ago and I found some kind of structure in the world with an old guy outside and I went inside the thing and a skeleton guy killed me scared me to death, i'm trying to find what it is so I can learn how to avoid it if I play again ItsBlueEnglan (talk) 12:57, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

The structure you encountered is most likely the Dungeon. The Old Man is walking around in front of it. In order to enter safely, you need to talk to him at night and win the following boss fight. Until then, you will always be killed instantly by Dungeon Guardians if you attempt to enter the Dungeon. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 13:47, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Terraria bosses and multiplayer, health, loot and drop per person[edit source]

I looked around and I couldn't find anything about this. I was wondering if there is anything that has to do with terraria bosses and the players in game. For example, what if one person is farther away, would they be counted to boss health increase and given a treasure bag. What if one person summoned and then others joined, would the boss health increase or something? I am going to be looking into that but if anyone knows before I test everything please let me know. <3 — Preceding unsigned comment added by That Duck Guy (talkcontribs) at 15:17, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

On the Expert Mode page, some mechanics are listed. The boss's health is decided by how many players are currently in the world when first spawned, and treasure bags are given to any player that has damaged the boss at least once. And yes, this does mean you can cheese a fight by having everyone leave and rejoin at the start of a boss battle. --KM100 (talk) 22:21, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

    Gemcorns[edit source]

How do i plant gemcorns? is there a specific area i need to plant them in or something else? please let me know — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.220.238.89 at 19:58, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

Gemcorns need to be planted Underground or lower, on stone or moss. Make sure they have enough open space to grow. --KM100 (talk) 22:21, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
