The Umbrella Slime is a surface dwelling Slime which only spawns during rainy days, comically holding an umbrella. The Umbrella Slime is larger than and statistically superior to Blue and Green Slimes.

Like most other slimes, the Umbrella Slime will be passive towards any player with the Royal Gel accessory equipped.

Trivia[]

The umbrella in its sprite appears to be gripped by the hand of its previous owner, which is implied via its bestiary entry.
The Umbrella Slime will spawn in a Snow biome during a blizzard, despite umbrellas being designed for protection against rain.
Despite clearly containing an umbrella, the Umbrella Slime only drops the cosmetic Umbrella Hat, never the Umbrella item, which has a different appearance and can only be obtained from chests and crates.
It is the only slime on Old-gen console version, Windows Phone version, and Nintendo 3DS version with its own respective banner, whereas all other slimes drop a slime banner.

The Bestiary entry for the Umbrella Slime: "The previous owner of this umbrella learned the hard way: umbrellas are good protection against rain, but not against slime."
