The Horseman's Blade is an auto-swinging sword which summons homing Pumpkin heads after striking an enemy. It is currently the second strongest sword in the game, being beaten only by the Terra Blade by 5 base damage. However, this weapon's ability makes it so that it does more damage per swing than the Terra Blade. Despite it being called Horseman's Blade, it drops from Pumpking.
Notes
- When standing in complete darkness, the sword can be seen clearly when used, but emanates no light at all, much like the Paladin's Hammer.
- Attacking large segmented enemies such as the Destroyer or Wyvern with the blade will cause many pumpkins to spawn and attack, this can give the sword a higher DPS than the Terra Blade.
- The best modifier for this weapon is Legendary.
- This sword has the same anomaly as The Undertaker: If this weapon has a prefix, it goes before the 'the,' thus resulting in names like 'Demonic The Horseman's Blade'.
- It is unknown why this item is not a drop from the Headless Horseman, although, this may be due to the sword being a lot stronger and having a higher rarity compared to other blades dropped from other enemies, thus, making it more rewarding for getting this item after killing the Pumpking instead of the Headless Horseman.
- When wearing full Frost Armor, the pumpkins spawned will emanate a blue glow instead of the original orange.
- Pumpkins sometimes will follow Spike Ball and bounded NPC.
- Use the statues as a monster-generator will greatly increase the number of pumpkin heads. The pumpkin heads will then seek out your enemy and do damage to the best of their ability,
Trivia
- This weapon is a reference to "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, and the famous Headless Horseman, and is depicted carrying a Jack-o-Lantern under his arm (instead of his own severed head) in a famous Disney cartoon. The Horseman would also throw the Jack-o-Lantern at his victims and thus the projectile ability.
