There's a lot to do around here, so we hope you'll stay with us and make many more contributions. And again, welcome to Terraria Wiki. Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Dzylon (Talk) 03:25, April 24, 2012

Hi, I noticed you were adding some pages to categories. Categorizing pages is important and your help is appreciated, however, it's also very important that they are categorized correctly. Please follow these guidelines for adding pages to categories:

  • Do not add pages to non-existent categories. A category is non-existent if you go to Special:Categories, search for that category, and it's not listed there, OR it is listed there, but when you click the link, it says "This page needs content. You can help by adding a sentence or a photo!" at the top of the page.
  • After you search for the category, be sure to click the link and read the category page so you know what's currently in that category as well as what the description of the category is. Before adding a page to Category:1.0.6, make sure that you have read Category:1.0.6 so you know what it's about.
  • Do not mix "vanilla" Terraria categories with Mod categories, as we want to be absolutely sure there is no confusion over which pages are about mod content and which pages are about stuff that's in the official copy of the game. For example, please don't make edits like this: Yes, the Necro Pickaxe is a pickaxe. But Category:Pickaxe is a vanilla Terraria category. Mod pages such as Mod:Necro Pickaxe should not be added to it.

Thanks, — Mathmagician talk blog 18:26, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

Images on Pages

Hi there Necron. Just to inform you; when adding images to pages, please remember to always add them below infoboxes. We keep this as a general rule to keep pages both aesthetically appealing, and functional. Thanks :)

There's no need at all to be sorry, we're glad you're adding content to articles! Everyone's made some kind of mistake, whether new or experienced. If some of the more familiar users correct you, don't take it personally. We're happy to see you making changes!

Your efforts have certainly not gone unnoticed. If you've made any kind of decision to stop editing, please reconsider. Thanks, DzylonTalk08:02:10April 30, 2012

Hey, can you please stop adding pictures to articles that are so similar to previously added pics that they are unneeded? We generally don't want a lot of pictures on articles. And don't add new categories, unless really necessary. A list of all categories can be found here: If you want any advice or have any questions, feel free to ask.

Please upload images not related to Terraria elsewhere, such as TinyPic, and then add the image directly by pasting the URL onto the page. The image you've already uploaded will eventually be deleted.
