Welcome

Hi, welcome to Terraria Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the File:2011-08-04 00002.jpg page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Gracey91 (Talk) 14:51, August 4, 2011

Home

Hey i've had a look and your right. What it think you should do is, expand the House Defense page with the info off homes. The info on homes should be basic and only cover a few things, but at the top just under the section header it should link to the main article which will be House Defense. If you need help with this let me know. Gracey91 07:45, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

Also i noticed in the history you have been adding category pages, which is fine. But we don't need the ores category as its made redundant by the template placed on all ores and bars pages. I'd also like for you to add me on steam if thats ok. I just want to talk to you and work out how you want to do this. my steam is: gracey_91 Btw when you add categories to content pages, you don't have to edit them. Just scroll down to where the categories are and you can add a category and hit save. Saves heaps of time. Gracey91 07:12, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

This is a section header

Parent Article: House Defense

Little bit of info here covering the basics. Use Environments as an example

Hey i had a look and you've covered it well. After i started i remembered the Traps page, i was goin to add the info but i guess it slipt my mind. I was think too, maybe you should copy\paste your info onto the traps page, and add a link to it from Home and House Defense. What do you think? Gracey91 15:19, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

Good work. btw your signature doesn't link to ur page, you need to change it to this. :)

Hey soz i went to bed. You signature works now. Shadow Wolf TJC 13:56, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Categories

Hey thats fine. Just remember to check the category list. And if you want to change a category or rename it, let me know i can do it in seconds. Also if you want to add a bunch of pages to a category, make a list on the page "Listify"(You will have to re-create the page, as i deleted it). Put them in dot points and link them to there pages. Once thats done i can mass add them to the category. If you need any help with this let me know. --Gracey91--

By the way, you may want to make sure that what you type doesn't end up stuck in coding.

Shadow Wolf TJC 13:56, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Hey i've moved them for you. Dunno what up with my signature, the template must be acting up. Gracey91 14:37, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Hey thats really good. Mark any categories you think should go, and i'll check them over and empty them if need be. Also if a category has no content page, as in you hit create instead of edit. You can remove all the pages from the category and it will disappear. Need any let me know. Gracey91 17:40, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Delete

Hey, when you mark a page for deletion, can you add the
{{delete}}
tag with a reason. you can do it easily like this
{{delete|Cos i think it sucks}}
thanks. Gracey91 17:12, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Steam

Hey thats fine, i hardly play anymore. I was just going to use it to chat, the whole messages on user pages can be too slow. Sorry to hear bout the hurricane, its been on tv over here (australia) looks like its goona be bad. Hope it passes your area by. Gracey91 17:58, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Moving pages

Hey, i just checked back in quickly. Its late here and i'm gonna crash, i'll move those pages 2moz. Don't worry about getting me to do this bot work, i really enjoy using the bot. If you want to start a list of things you want me to do on my page, then just add to that, i'll remove them from the list once there done. Gracey91 20:15, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

A thought

Hey i noticed the eater of worlds pages is becoming a bit long. I think you (if you want of course) should make a strategy page. And on the eater of worlds page just have the most common way to deal with him. Same thing you did with home and traps pages. Let me know if you want to. btw i wont reply till 2moz as i'm goin to bed. Gracey91 19:58, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

Seperate pages

Your making the pages too long. there should ONLY be 1 method to defeat a boss on each page. otherwise its too much info. I only suggested the strategy page cos i plan on removing a very large portion of info from the boss pages. The page has become to intimidating with the mass of info. Gracey91 07:26, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

Hey

Hey I know what you mean, and I agree those pages needed work to the strategy. First off, common was a poor choice of worlds, basic is more what i mean. Something any player could do, so it can't require rare weapons/items. I want to move most of it to another page because many people don't want to read all that info, but if you add one basic strategy (add the "this is only one of many different strategies") and add a link to a main article, which would be that bosses strategy, the page looks cleaner and anybody who does want that extra strategy info can easily find it. Many people will also want to add extra strategies so all boss pages will grow a lot longer and it will become annoying for many people to find the info they want. Also you'll find strategy pages aren't meant to be on wiki's, its just the difficulty of Terraria with out any guides it is near on impossible. Also i have no problem with you doing this, I'm honestly happy. I just wanted to copy and paste the info you wrote. Its good strategies and they are well written. If you have any problems with my reply or think your not getting something across or i'm just missing something, can you contact me on steam, i feel i'll be better able to explain myself with IM we could also use chat on the wiki up to you. Gracey91 07:41, September 1, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, i'm really glad we could work this out. thanks :) Gracey91 06:55, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

User Guides

Hey, I'm cleaning up the wiki (currently categories) and noticed a category with only one article, Recommended Items for Terraria. The category is "User Guides" - can you edit your blog and delete the category and add "Guides" instead? Thanks. Leet-Pete | User talk 06:45, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Hey leet, i made that category. Its so users can make guides for other users, its currently a test to see if people are interested in that sort of thing. I plan on making the community portal a lot better set up, so people will be made better aware of this category and other info. If it tanks i'll get rid of it. Gracey91 06:57, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

OK Gracey. Can you add a little bit info to the category page please? It's empty. Leet-Pete | User talk 07:40, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, I've been doing quite a bit of maintenance on the wiki today. Yeah, I saw Gracey's reply to that category concern; it's no problem. I just thought the category was pointless, but it isn't. Leet-Pete | User talk 16:39, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Cheers

Hey thanks, i just did a quick rollback to get rid of it from the activity. If you want to remain in the background when reporting things, just leave a note to say come to chat, as we can chat in a privately there. For steam, click the "view friends" button in the bottom right corner, it will open a tab of your friends. There is an arrow you can click next to each name, which opens a tab with an options to send a message. Gracey91 09:39, September 13, 2011 (UTC)

I still don't see an option to send messages to friends, though I did see an option to invite to chat. However, I did figure out how to add comments to another person's Steam profile.
I'm not exactly confident in the usage of chat channels or other instant messaging services, as I might not be online during the times that you're online, or vice-versa. Hence, I find personal messaging (including e-mail) a more reliable, if slower, means of communication.
Shadow Wolf TJC 18:59, September 13, 2011 (UTC)
I forgot to mention, the send message option only appears when a friend is online. I agree chat program can be annoying, and the time difference doesn't help either. If you would like your welcome to contact me on my email for any private messages you want to send. gracey_91@ymail.com Gracey91 04:37, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
P.S thanks for using the talkback template

Rollback

Hey you have been made a "rollback" for your assistance with the wiki, here is a small run down of the powers. "Users with the "rollback" permission are able to revert vandalism and bad-faith edits by using the rollback link on diff pages and user contributions list. They are just like logged-in users, only with one extra button."

This is only for reverting vandalism/spam or it can be used on your talk/profile page. Good luck and if you need any help let me know. Gracey91 18:25, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

Additionally your name will now appear green, like how mine appears blue. Gracey91 18:58, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

Question

Hey mate,

I thought about that, making it the question of the week, but since there are not alot of active people I dont think this will change the results. Also this will just keep the few active users from a new question. But still I want to thank you giving feedback.

Cheers Smulder. 18:20, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Shadow

Hey Shadow, hows it been? I seen your response on the Question of the Week and it seems to me you have quite a few opinions on these things, which is great. I was just wondering if you had any ideas for good questions i can use there and on the Community Portal. Any help would be appreciated. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 13:48, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Things are pretty active now that patch 1.1 is out. As you can see, I've been a bit busy working on updating the Wiki with all this new info, though I've yet to reach Hardmode with the new world and character that I created.

As for new ideas for poll questions, well, I've been thinking that the introduction of the Clown enemy for Hardmode Blood Moons has been stirring up some controversy, what with it throwing bombs that can actually destroy parts of your home base (unless you've been using bomb-proof materials of course). Perhaps that's deserving of a poll?

Another idea for a poll question could be to ask players which of the 3 Hardmode bosses were hardest to defeat: The Twins, The Destroyer, or Skeletron Prime.

--Shadow Wolf TJC 14:19, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

P.S.: For some reason, when responding to your messages, something within your signature is forcing me to type things up in source mode instead of letting me type things up in visual mode. I think that it has something to do with your signature.

Discussions

Discussions about our wiki's video policy and administrative structure going forward will be started tomorrow (Wednesday afternoon/evening) by Sannse. Discussions will use a regular content page--which will basically be a forum with comments. The page itself is for detailed discussion, comments are for the rest of the community who don't feel comfortable with the forum format. I'm sending this message out to some key members of the community here so that they're notified. Let's have a polite and productive conversation.

Heheh, sory about that. "His" profile seemed so feminine, so I thought that he was a she. X-P

(No offence to Math) But I know what you mean! Haha, I'm sure he doesn't mind either way ^ᴗ^ (Also, don't worry about Talkback templates at the moment, I'll see when you reply :P )

Hey

Hey, Shadow Wolf, I'm sorry I haven't had the chance to talk with you much before. I was wondering, I recall from about a month ago that you were interested in being an admin, though you admit that you can't always be active. While active admins are certainly preferable to inactive ones, I think having more admins is always a good thing (assuming they are responsible of course). I'm impressed with your opinions on things and your introduction of new categories for the hardmode items, etc. So if you're still interested in contributing to this wiki a bit, even if you may be inactive at times, let me know that you're still around and I'll be willing to get an admin nomination started for you =) — Mathmagician talk blog 04:11, March 29, 2012 (UTC)

Well, even though the game isn't being developed anymore, there's still a lot going on in the modding community. There was the Reborn Mod which was released last month, it's been pretty successful despite its bugs. We've (and when I say we, I mean mostly Dzylon) added hundreds of pages about mod content at Category:Mod, Category:Reborn Mod, Category:Obsidian Mod. We've also been laying down interlanguage links to http://ru.terraria.wikia.com, http://de.terraria.wikia.com and http://es.terraria.wikia.com, as well as talking about how to revamp our main page. If you check out recent blog posts, there's quite a few spriters who have posted really awesome sprites and mod ideas here.
Long story short, Terraria isn't over by a long shot :) So, even if you will be doing other stuff (I've been playing more starcraft II myself), please stop in now and then when you feel like it. There's still plenty to do. P.S. I'm quite a fan of SSB Brawl myself. Participated in a few tournaments at my college and a couple others in Seattle and won some. I went to one state-level tourney and only made it 4 rounds in. Well, that was a couple years ago. Now that metaknight is supposedly banned, I suppose I might do better. (I main Marth -> switched to Falco). Here's hoping that when Sakurai makes the next Super Smash Bros, it'll actually be balanced... oh, and an online multiplayer would be nice. Wii does have Wifi but... you can't play Brawl on that, way too laggy. — Mathmagician talk blog 04:10, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
