Valhalla Knight armor is an armor set purchased from the Tavernkeep for 1500000*150 in total, after Golem has been defeated. The set consists of the Valhalla Knight's Helm, Valhalla Knight's Breastplate and Valhalla Knight's Greaves.
A full set of Valhalla Knight armor provides the following benefits:
+68 defense /+64 defense+10% melee damage- +20% melee critical strike chance
- +60% minion damage
- +3 sentry slots
+20% /+30% movement speed+4 /+8 HP/sec
The set bonus reduces the firing cooldown to 1.66 seconds from 3 seconds, increases the velocity of the Ballista sentry summons and increases their penetration from 4 to 7. It also gives the wearer the Ballista Panic! buff upon taking any damage, which doubles the fire rate of all Ballista sentries summoned by the player for 5 seconds.
The Valhalla Knight armor set is an upgrade of the Squire armor set.

Notes[]
- This is currently the highest defense summoner armor in the game. In fact, it has slightly more defense than Vortex armor, the third highest defense end game armor, and its life regeneration buff is considerable, making it the only armor designed for Summoners that could be considered tanky. Stardust armor, the highest tier summoner armor in the game, cannot be acquired until after the defeat of Moon Lord, and has only 38 defense. You may want to consider the fact that the Valhalla sets defense, sentries, movement speed and health regen combined make it better than Stardust armor in some situations.
- The bonuses of the breastplate alone allow it to synergize well with many other pieces of armor, as the high defense, considerable increase in minion damage, and increase in life regeneration all aid in the survivability of other playstyles, although at the cost of set bonuses. The regeneration effects also compound with other forms of regeneration such as the Shiny Stone, which can allow for very quick regeneration after a brief escape from battle.
- The critical strike portion of this armor only applies to melee attacks.
- The total bonus to max number of sentries is +3, allowing 4 to be summoned at once.
- Since minion damage bonuses apply to both sentries and regular minions, combining this armor with the Pygmy Necklace, Necromantic Scroll, and Papyrus Scarab to also allow more normal minions to be summoned at once can be a highly effective strategy, especially during invasions or boss fights where the Sentries being immobile is usually not as much of an issue.
- The Valhalla Knight Armor has only a single melee bonus (the +20% melee crit bonus from the greaves). Almost all of its bonuses are focused on defense, regeneration, and minions. The Shinobi Infiltrator armor has similar minion benefits but trades the regeneration and defense for additional bonuses to melee damage and melee speed.
- Whips
benefit from the significant increased minion damage of this armor, and may make a better choice than melee weapons.
- Whips
- The massively increased life regeneration of the Valhalla Knight's Breastplate stacks with that of the Squire's Great Helm. This can be used as a major advantage for healing, especially in bossfights.
- The Valhalla Knight Breastplate has the highest minion damage increase in the game, 5% higher than the Red Riding Dress and Dark Artist's Robes, and 8% higher than the Stardust Plate. However, it lacks the Dark Artist's Robes' and Red Riding Dress's increases to non-minion damage, and the Stardust Plate's boosts for minions, which means they would provide higher DPS. On the other hand, the Valhalla Knight Breastplate's health regeneration boost can allow for a defensive playstyle, which may be preferred by some players.
Trivia[]
- This set is a reference to the Squire's Valhalla Knight costume in Dungeon Defenders II.
- Valhalla is a place in Norse mythology where warriors that have died gloriously in battle are chosen by valkyries to go. There, the einherjar train daily for an immense battle set to take place during Ragnarök, the Norse day of doom. Also, half of the heroically fallen go there, the other half go to Fólkvangr, the Vanaheim equivalent of Valhalla.
