Value is what is described as the monetary worth of an item. If sold by an NPC, it will also be the price the NPC sells that item for. When selling, items are always sold for 20% (one fifth) of the purchase price, rounded down. The rounding can lead to confusion about the exact price of items. Existing modifiers can also change an item's value.

The Goblin Tinkerer charges one third of any item's current value to reforge, which is approximately 1.67x its sell price or 1/3 of its base value.

Example

A Musket Ball has a value of 7.

  • Selling a single Musket Ball will return 1. One Musket Ball has a value of 7 and 7 / 5 = 1.4. After rounding, the result is 1.

History

  • 1.0.6.1: Changed the way the value of stacked items is rounded to fix selling/buyback inconsistencies.
